oshio’s food is sooo good, but it’s really expensive and the place is always crowded sometimes there’s even a waiting list. i ordered the salmon makki and it was super fresh and delicious. i also tried the tteokbokki, it was really spicy and soft. the kimchi pancake was sooo good too 🙁 i really like eating here. the service is nice, but because it’s always packed, the waiters are super busy. stay strong guys

We visited O’Shio for some Asian cuisine and had the squid with rice, savory cakes, and matcha ice cream. The food was definitely enjoyable! We were lucky to have a beautiful day and sat outside, which was really pleasant, as they have a nice outdoor seating area. I didn’t see the inside, so can’t speak to that. The service was fine—nothing special, but everything arrived on time. Overall, it was a nice, decent meal. On a lovely day in Brighton, it’s a welcoming spot for a casual bite!

I went to eat with my family of 5 people at a warm and lovely restaurant. I stayed in Brighton for 1 week and went to eat at the restaurant for 2 days. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff took good care of the hospitality. The ingredients used were fresh and appropriate. There is a chance to stop by again for sure.

I’m sad I don’t live in Brighton because this has just become my new favourote restaurant absolutely delicious kitsune udon, and probably the best teriyaki salmon I have ever had (and I eat a LOT of Japanese food). Treated myself to some matcha ice cream after, perfect dessert!
Wonderful staff, lovely cozy atmosphere, fast service!

Really delicious food and has a lovely ambience. The staff are also very kind and the service was fast. There is a good selection of both Japanese and Korean food with vegetarian options for a lot of dishes. The drinks selection is also great with a range of sake options and umeshu. Would definitely recommend. It does get busy though so it may be worth booking in advance.

The food is absolutely brilliant. I wish I could replicate any of the dishes we had but I feel like this is the secret skills we pay for. They had a really good selection of drinks as well. The sipping wine drink was a lovely compliment to the delicious food!

After a 2.5 hr train journey to London and then another 1.5 hr to Brighton, I was ready for a warm and comforting Japanese meal. I set my mind on O’Shio, and wanted a light lunch. The kitsune udon and agadashi tofu was yummy good ambience but busy. Not loud. so good that I came back for a late dinner. The chicken katsu and rice, with miso soup was just right. Dinner time was packed, noise level just about max for me and vibrant. Reminded me of Japan, buzzy vibe. Service with a smile. When im back in Brighton, I will be dining at O’Shio again. Extensive Japanese and Korean menus.
