We’ve been to other steakhouses: Gallaghers, Flagler and now NY Prime. For us NYP was a standout. We started with a drink at the bar which was great. (Wish there was a happy hour but oh well). We hung there for a bit catching some of the Sunday games and head to our reservation shortly after. Our server Kevin was on point! Terrific with suggestions related to sizing of appetizers, steaks, just all around very attentive and great personality.
We started with the Onion Rings, arugula and apple salad and the bacon. Just wow. Loved everything. Their special sauces too were great (including ketchup).
For mains we did a tomahawk and a NY strip. Both cooked perfectly. The tomahawk was a better cut of meat, NY strip was just okay. A bit fatty but was still good. Sides we had asparagus, baked potato and the large wedge fries. My only gripe was I got 5 stalks of asparagus! Finished off with a butter cake which we all split and left very full and satisfied!!!

Waste of time and money. I made a reservation for my wife’s birthday and still got our table 40 minutes after the scheduled time.
The steak was burned. I’ve been to many steakhouses and have never had a steak this bad. When I mentioned it, the server said that’s how it’s supposed to be, which was shocking.
Paying almost $80 for an overcooked, burned steak is unacceptable. Very disappointing experience. If you want a nice steak house, to Kaluz instead.

The place was nice, but the food was really below average. The ingredients seemed fine, but the way they were cooked was disappointing, which made the overall quality just mediocre. We ordered a medium steak, but it came out burnt. On top of that, there weren’t enough servers — whatever you asked for took at least 10 minutes, and you often had to remind them because each waiter was covering 6–7 large tables at once. For these prices, I definitely expected a much better dining experience.

The glasses had an unpleasant smell, and the food quality did not match the price. The crab cake lacked flavor and structure, the New York strip arrived overcooked and flavorless, and the replacement steak was only slightly better. The garlic chicken was bland, and the fettuccine Alfredo was so disappointing that we didn’t eat it; we could make a better one at home.
What concerns us most is the lack of consistency across different dishes and service, which suggests there may be issues in the kitchen or supervision. As regular customers, we notice these changes immediately, and it affects the overall dining experience.
At the end of the evening, we waited 15 minutes for the server to bring our check, even though the restaurant was not busy, and there was an error on the bill that required additional waiting time.
Overall, this experience fell far below the standards we had come to expect. When prices are at this level, consistency and quality should be guaranteed. I’ve had steaks all around the world and this truly is my #1 favorite place to get Filet
-meals are always extremely consistent
-menu options vary enough to keep it interesting but always hit the target on what you want from a steakhouse
-bread basket always on point especially the cinnamon thin sliced
-loaded baked potato is huge and they load it in front of you
-main lobster is usually an option in season
-live music on Friday and Saturday’s
***PRO TIP, order cranberry juice to sip in between steak bites and order the Cobb salad to go with the complimentary bread basket***
