I stopped by for lunch and tried the hot bar, and it was absolutely worth it. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, especially the crispy fried chicken and creamy mac and cheese. The fried okra, squash casserole, green beans, and mashed potatoes felt just like a homemade meal. The cornbread, soft rolls, and sweet peach cobbler were the perfect finishing touch. I also loved that there was a full salad bar with plenty of fresh options. It was a satisfying and delicious experience, and I will definitely be coming back for more.

Really enjoyed dining here. My waiter was wonderful! I enjoyed being seated and beverage order taken before entering the buffet. I love that my waiter didn’t assume we’d dined there before and instructed us on protocol for visiting the buffet. The chicken was really good!! Yum!! Fish, a little more salty than my liking. The vegetables were good with a lil self seasoning but everything was hot and tasted fresh!!

I enjoyed lunch at the hot station and everything was fantastic. The Philly Cheesesteak was crispy and juicy. I will definitely come again!

We haven’t been here in a long time. They are still using gloves, they provide, for getting your food from the buffet. The food was room temp. 4 items on the salad bar. The cobbler and corn bread were the best that was there. The okra, green beans and chicken were very plain. The “meatloaf” looked like spaghetti meat. No toothpicks. We came here to eat because a year or so back the food was all amazing. We will not be back for the buffet. We would probably try a menu option to see if that was better. They also used to serve orange slices in their tea. All the home touches are gone. It seems like no they are mostly trying to save money.

We’ve lived in Meridianville for a while but never swung by Posey’ before – we decided to change that today!
A lot of reviews refer to this place as having a buffet, but that isn’t technically correct – they have a food bar but limit you to one plate/visit. It is very clear on the menu and my wife confirmed this with a server. Everywhere we looked there seemed to be people doing multiple trips so that was kind of weird. It was very hot inside – not sure if the AC was on the fritz or they were just catering to the older crowd but everyone in my party commented on it.
Wife and kids got the food bar and I ordered a club sandwich off the menu. They serve Pepsi products here.
My wife was pretty happy that they had turkey, fried chicken and ham available plus a lot of the usual southern food sides available (rolls, corn, green beans, cornbread, stuffing, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes etc). They want everyone visiting the food bar to wear gloves while serving food which is weird but I’m fine with that.
There was one server for our entire side of the restaurant and I feel like she did a good job and was hustling- she served food poured drinks and bussed tables.
The food… the food was below average. Just going to be honest here. The fried chicken had a very good breading that was pretty salty. The rest of the food was extremely bland and lacked flavor. All of the negative reviews for this restaurant usually point this out. They have a very loyal crowd of regulars it seems, but the food was bland. The mashed potatoes was bland and was the consistency of powdered potatoes. Idahoan instant mashed potatoes beat these easily. Mac n cheese was ho-hum, turkey was bland, etc. The corn bread is the unsweetened variety that is super dry. Honestly the only good thing we had was the fried chicken.
My club was OK. They had a lot of meat in it, but the meat was hot which was unexpected. It looked good and had bacon which was nice, just tasted plain to me.
I will probably come back and give it another shot someday, but honestly it feels like mostly institutional food in a hot restaurant with odd rules.

The catfish is excellent; I am not a fish eater.
We enjoyed the meal. Just remember… the food is very basic and will need salt and pepper.

Very good hospitality…. Food was ok, very bland, not seasoned and not to many options of food…. Overall staff was very friendly and hands on…

This place needs its own traffic light out front. It needs it to make sure everyone can get in and out safely, it’s so packed. We walked up an hour and a half before they closed, wondering why they closed so early. We had driven from New Market. We walked in and saw how small the buffet was. As we sat down we wondered how it was gonna be. We got our plates, sat down, and took our first bite. You know how your eyes roll back from how good the food is? That’s what happened here. We loved every bite. Though this wasn’t a huge buffet it made a huge impact. They can close at the time they do. I would understand the staff beating people from the door at closing time. I see why it’s so packed, they still do need their own street light because I believe people are fighting to get there on time. Due to the food being so darn good. Slap yourself good. We got 2 plates, a coffee which was also delicious, and 2 drinks that came out to $31.50. It was worth every penny! The staff was friendly, even though it was busy we didn’t wait for a thing. This was our first visit, it won’t be our last. I told everyone how good it was! Completely worth the drive, the price, service, and taste!

First time there was very dissatisfied would not recommend.
All these 1 star reviews is the truth I don’t need to explain. Should have taken the time to read them first.
