Absolutely delicious Louisiana food.
I travel over 48 states and always stop somewhere in Louisiana for authentic flavorful food.

So many small food stops in other states have completely stopped using salt in their food. Insane to me. I’ll never eat at those trending places again with zero seasoning in the food.

I’m usually down the street at the truck stop when I stop in this area but their cook didn’t come to work so I came here. I can’t believe I’ve never stopped here in 15 years of passing thru this area. I’m so glad I did.

Thanks

The Only reason I’m giving this a 1 Star, is because this has to change. The Styrofoam plates they use get eaten up by any Hot item, my case Mac n Cheese, you can taste the difference immediately & when I ate it, I felt a burning sensation in my nasal cavity on left side of my head, the feeling traveled up my left hemisphere of my head. Then I felt nauseated for a split second then I was fine. The very top layer of the foam gets pitted( you can physically see it) blends with the Mac n Cheese(or whatever hot food hits it), & if you ever chewed a foam cup before that’s what your eating. Food is great, service is top notch, the foam plates got to go before we get a new case study. That burning sensation that travels is hard to get over, it’s like smelling ammonia But you’re eating it.

The service was excellent in the meat market side. We got brisket jalapeño poppers and pepper jack bacon wrapped chicken to put on the pit and smoked boudin from the case as a snack. The boudin and chicken were pretty good but there is definitely better in south Louisiana
Louisiana. The brisket jalapeño poppers which I was excited about however didn’t taste great at all. They must put a BBQ sauce in the brisket which makes them really sweet and we weren’t a fan. We have not tried anything from the restaurant this was just the meat market side.

Steak and chicken wraps we’re awesome definitely will buy again. I also bought a king cake and without a doubt one of the tastiest I’ve ever bought it was very fresh and delicious.

Stopped in to try some local food and this place delivered. The friendly staff helped me figure out what to get. Ended up ordering the 3 piece steak wrap combo. I got the Mac & cheese and green beans as my sides. Looked so good I got corn machoux as an additional side. Overall the food was spicy. Unfortunately the meat had been under the heat lamp a bit too long. I was most impressed with the corn and rice machoux. The atmosphere was clean and family friendly.

I live about a hour and 45 mins away from Bergerons but anytime we go that way I stop for their smoked chicken thighs. They are the absolute best. The baked beans where amazing and so are the ribs. My niece got the fresh banana bread and it was also delicious. The girls working where very nice and welcoming. If I lived closer Id buy lunch from there everyday!

Great service! We were passing through with our dog and asked about the drive thru and one of the waitresses offered to move a table outside for us so we didn’t have to eat in our car. We tried several things from the hot box and had a grilled shrimp po boy. Everything was amazing and we even got extra boudin and andouille sausage to take home.

One of our favorite stops when in Cajun country heading to New Orleans. The smell when you walk in the door is incredible! They have a large selection of Cajun delicacies and meats in their hot box ready to go. You can also buy lots of exotic items from their freezer case to take home. They have some of the best boudin you will find! The service is very friendly and welcoming. The pork cracklins are a must try.

I live 2 hours away from Bergerons and am happy to make the run for some really delicious food. My problem is that I always get too much food and end up having to share with my family. Don’t laugh, you’ll do the same thing in do too.
