Came here for lunch today. Kind off the beaten path. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with limited parking. If you have a truck the parking will be more difficult.
The restaurant is your typical hole in the wall establishment which is where the locals go. A steady stream of regulars were walking in with to go orders.
The chicken meal caught my eye. Specifically the 3 pc chicken wing meal with 2 sides, corn bread and a drink. My wife got the chicken finger meal. We both got the Mac-N-cheese and collard greens.
The MAC was absolutely loaded with cheese. I hate to say this but it had too much cheese in it. My wife only ate a few bites. The collard greens made up for it, seasoned very well. The chicken wings and chicken fingers were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they only serve wings or fingers that I could see on the menu. I suppose to cut down on cooking times.
If in the area we would entertain coming back again.

Regulars told me to try the fish, lima beans, greens and yams….
Great tableside manner…. .had me laughing the whole time I was there. Gave me cornbread to go with my grits.. Fresh homecooked food made to order.
Another regular told me to try the seared porkchops….. …next time. Definitely coming back here!!! Keep up the great cooking gentlemen.

down…lima beans so tender and flavorful. Mac n cheese on point. The shrimp didn’t even need sauce…sooo tasty.
Omgosh…the butter pecan cake. so moist and fulfilling. The cheese grits melted n my mouth….the fish so tender and full of flavor….so big it
almost didn’t fit n the pic…. And the prices…. super reasonabable….y’all get over here!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed Sweet Mama’s! When you walk up to the door, the aromas of the food draws you in. It smelled so good in there. It smelt like the food tasted good, and they did not disappoint. Everything was seasoned well and flavorful. We ordered oxtails (good portion size given), turkey wings, sauced and fried whole wings, fried ribs, yams, collard greens, yellow rice, cabbage(yummy), strawberry cake, and sweet potato pie. The only small issue i had was that the collard greens were not super tender. They cooked have been cooked a little longer and they were the least flavorful of everything. I still enjoyed my food and visit. To top it off, customer service was top notch!! Everyone was friendly, pleasant, and acted like they wanted to be there, serve good food, and make the customers happy. I can’t wait to visit again!

I had the fish with the collard greens and the mac & cheese with their cherry lemonade and their cornbread and it was amazing the cornbread was a bit dry but it was still good! But that Mac & cheese I’m still thinking about it , like I am really looking forward to going there again. I went with my mom she loved it , GOD willing wanna take my friends! this place is very worth the drive !

Being caucasian and walking into a soul food restaurant can be somewhat intimidating but the staff made that all go away as soon as you walked in the door. So warm and welcoming.
I had the fried pork chop, greens and lima beans. All excellent and well seasoned. The pork chop was tender and juicy with the perfect coating that had a slight crunch. My partner had the Meatloaf over rice with gravy, greens and Mac and cheese. He said this was a winning combination and gobbled the whole thing down. Lauren ( the owner ) and staff are amazing. We will be back soon!

The food was good. We had the oxtails dinner and neck bone dinner. Both meats were ver good. The greens had large stems left on, which I didn’t like. You got more stems than greens. The cabbage, yams, and yellow rice were good. Mac and cheese was just ok. The corn bread was good. Friendly staff! The down part was that AC was not working, so we had to eat in a hot dining room. The restroom was also out of service. Both of these things were not going for out of town folks.

On a whim late at night away from our regular area, this was a WIN! Cozy delicious smelling and tasty food! Chicken and waffles and the fried pork chops with collard greens n Lima beans. Get the corn nuggets they were sweet n hot! Exceptional customer service! Will be back and highly recommend! Kudos guys!
