Going on a Tuesday, you benefit from the kids eat free promotion if you buy an entree. My wife and son ordered the Cheese cappelletti and I opted for the 5 cheese cannelloni. We haven’t been here in quite some time but the salad and bread to start have the same great taste we remembered from before.
My son had order a chiller for a drink. Accidentally knocked it over. The server didn’t skip a beat, brought us napkins and made a new drink for him to remedy the situation. Fantastic!
No complaints about anything. Menu is vast and there are options for almost everyone.

Love this idea! We may have found our catch up spot.
Despite being packed with families of young children and being VERY busy, the friendliness of the staff and efficiency of Kayla’s service was unwavered. The manager, Melissa checked in on our table and said hi at one point during our meal. Everything about our experience seemed to be next level when comparing to other recent experiences at different East Side Mario’s restaurants.
Thanks to Kayla, Melissa and the rest of the staff for restoring some faith in East Side Mario’s, would definitely eat here again!!
Tonight we drove at least an hour to get here (plus the headache of the blue water bridge and customs) and east side mario’s did not disappoint!
There was a short wait for a table at about 6pm when we arrived and the place was packed! Once we got to our booth there was another short wait for our orders to be taken, but after this the ball was rolling everything was in motion.
Our drinks were served promptly. Bread, salads, and appetizers followed shortly after. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Empty plates were taken from the table right away and the bread kept coming!
Our waiter let us know about 5minutes before our entres were ready and asked if we would like more soup, salad, etc.
I got a double bacon something which was very good, my son ordered a pizza, but it was my daughter’s dinner that will bring me back. She had chicken that was absolutely to die for! OMG i have never had better chicken in all my (almost) 60 years! My son’s Italian Wedding Soup was also amazing!
I don’t think i will do desert on my next visit.
Our server was amazed we drove over an hour from the US specifically for this restaurant. for a moment i thought he was going to get a manager to share how far we drove to be here.
definately a 5star visit, good service, great food, amazing time!
My family of eight went for dinner, and my brother ordered the lasagna. After two bites, he said it was disgusting and sent it back. The portion was small, it looked like it was made with ketchup, and it looked nothing like what they advertise or what we’ve had there plenty of times before.
When the bill came (which was $340 — not a small amount), the lasagna was still on it. We politely asked the server about it and were told it would not be removed. We then asked to speak to the manager. When he came over, we calmly explained the situation, and he repeatedly called my brother a liar, insisting he had eaten more than half of it. Our entire table told him that was not true — he had two bites and sent it back — yet the manager continued to stand there and call us liars.
We then asked to speak to his superior. She came over and initially refused to do anything. After arguing for nearly 20 minutes and being repeatedly insulted, she finally offered to take $5 off, then $10, but still wanted him to pay for his soup. Only after continued back-and-forth did she agree to remove the lasagna entirely.
Paying for the lasagna was never the issue. The issue was the complete lack of customer service, the disrespectful communication, and being called liars in front of our entire family. Any other restaurant I’ve ever been to would have apologized and removed a meal that did not meet expectations. Never in my life have I been insulted by management the way we were that night.
To make matters worse, most of our table was from out of town. We are here because our mother is dying in the hospital, and this was supposed to be a family dinner during an already incredibly difficult time. Instead, it was made worse by poor food, small portions, and unbelievably disrespectful service.
I will never step foot in an East Side Mario’s again. They need new management or serious customer service training. This entire situation could have been handled with a simple apology and by comping a meal that clearly missed the mark. Instead, they chose to argue, insult customers, and ruin an already emotional evening.
Take your money elsewhere.
I really hope after bring this to corporate they do something about their staffing.
We loved the all-you-can-eat bread, soup and salad options
Huge portions and very friendly staff.
I would highly recommend this place!
then decided to go to east side Mario’s.. waited only a few minutes to get a table.. were very happy as we had plans to go to the movies as well.. after the first hr of waiting for our meals we decided to forget going to the movies as now would just be a rush and we wouldn’t be able to enjoy dinner and a few drinks..
The waitress we ended up getting was excellent… brought us everything we wanted and needed very very quickly. My wife and I have been together almost 22 yrs and this was the best waitress we’ve ever had.. she was pleasant and cheery. All around great to order with and got everything absolutely right which is very un expected as we normally have issues with something when we go out to dinner…
After being there for almost 2hrs waiting for our food, we had 4 drinks each and we were told we were cut off by the manager.. who the hell gets cut off after 4 drinks each in 2 hrs and we were seated in the corner right near the kitchen. Talking only to ourselves and the waitress that delivered our apps and drinks. Like really?? We were not loud and obnoxious or bothering anyone. We asked for the manager that cut us off to come to the table so we could ask why. Of course he would not come to our table. Sad. We were not drunk or even close to it.
We tipped the waitress very well and left
Definitely disappointed with the manager.. ridiculous.. and likely will not return because of the manager..
