Most of the food was excellent Brisket had good flavor, pulled pork was good. Mac n cheese was great. Pulled chicken nachos fantastic and the sweet potato fries were awesome. I was bummed that the cucumber salad was soggy, could have been we went late in the day and I like my cucumbers crunchy when I make it. Still gave them 5 stars overall as everything else was great. Service was attentive and good helpful. Definitely will try it again.

We placed an order for pickup scheduled at 6:05 pm. I arrived about 10 minutes early, and the employee handed me the order from underneath the counter. However, I didn’t receive the text notification that the order was ready until 6:04 pm.
We ordered three burgers, and unfortunately all of them were raw inside, and the buns were already very soggy (we didn’t have condiments on the buns). We also ordered a side of mac and cheese, and the pasta was overcooked and the sauce was watery. Given the condition of the food at pickup, it raises some concern about how long it may have been sitting before being handed to us.
Because of these issues, the meal was not enjoyable and we were unable to eat it. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that food quality and pickup timing can be more consistent in the future. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be back.

Happiest Vacations
Service: I had Doc’s tonight with my family, while we were stuck in a hotel room due to illness. When we had a situation arise with Uber Eats (which I almost never use), Doc’s took care of us. The customer service was so phenomenal. They went above and beyond. Our cashier was Hannah. She was so lovely. And the manager was also great.
Food: I ate the brisket sandwich, and it was phenomenal. I used to live in TX, and brisket was my go-to. I would put this brisket up with any of the places I ate at in TX. My family ate nachos, grilled cheese, and mac and cheese, and enjoyed them all. We also had giant cookies with our meal.
Overall: We will be back again when my daughter moves into SIUE this Summer. We don’t have barbecue like this in Arizona; I look forward to trying some other things on their menu.

I wish I got to try the pork steak or burnt ends, but Docs special and the smokehouse nachos were pretty great!

The bread was excellent, the sauces were amazing (I liked the sweet and spicy/smokey, and Carolina mustard the most).

The meat was very solid, tender, and flavored well.

Came in today with a large party of 11. Was seated in a timely manner everyone was friendly and food came out quickly one or 2 dishes at a time which was nice as it didn’t sit under a warmer until everything was ready. Everyone liked the food. Will definitely be back. We stayed after eating and visited each other for a bit and didnt feel rushed out even though the place was busy.

We had Docs cater our wedding and it was a great experience for beginning to end. They were so easy to work with and adjusted to our needs. The owner was experienced and kind and her staff was friendly and created a lovely experience for our guests. Above all else the food was fabulous and many guests commented on their excitement and enjoyment of the food options. 10/10 would definitely recommend hiring them for your catering needs.

What did I order?
Brisket, ribs, slaw, and potato salad.

How did the food actually taste?
Brisket and ribs had solid smoke flavor and were tender, presumably the result of a competition-style process. However, the meat lacked bark formation and had a soft, uniform texture throughout. It didn’t have the charred edges or contrast in bite that I usually associate with great BBQ. The overall effect was more like something smoked and gently steamed. This may be technically precise, but it missed the crunch, depth, and rustic character I was hoping for. There also didn’t seem to be a dry rub, which made sauce necessary. I respect sauce as a BBQ staple, but I also value a good rub. The spicy sauce was our favorite. The sweet and smoky sauce tasted off. Potato salad was very good. Slaw was fine but basic. I had hoped for more creativity with these standard sides as that has been the trend in modern BBQ joints.

How was the presentation?
Typical BBQ plating. No complaints.

How was the service?
Fast casual model. Service was fine. I had to ask for a refill even though it wasn’t that busy. It wasn’t a big deal, just worth noting.

What was the vibe?
Clean and family friendly. Quiet enough for conversation. Decor was simple and fit the brand.

Any unexpected positives or negatives?
Based on the trophy wall and the Guy Fieri endorsement, I expected more. The concept seems to be precise technique and simplicity. I respect that, but each bite felt like it was missing something.

Would I come back?
Yes. It was fairly priced and the experience was smooth overall. I didn’t love it, but I see potential and would give it another try.

I got burnt ends, with seasoned fires and Cole slaw. My wife got the pork steak sandwich with potato salad. Neither of us was disappointed. The ends were cooked to perfection….done, but not dry with a good coating. The fries were lights out. And the Cole slaw I want to take a bath in. Yes. It all was that good. The pork steak sandwich was probably 2-3 inches thick. I was given a taste of the potato salad and it was good, as well. I am so disappointed that I waited so long to go here. g here since they opened. Well, I can’t turn back time, but I can visit more in the future. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do. The staff here must be taken care of, because they were all friendly, and acted like they truly wanted to be there. A great experience!!!
