Only giving 3 stars because the wings were still good because I ate a few since I was hungry but not what I ordered, I asked BEFORE order was placed if it was gonna be breaded the girl at the counter said “yes” so when I received it I drove off thinkin it was okay and when I called the store, a male worker answers and says they “aren’t allowed to make them like that” so basically I got hustled out $40 since I gotta DRIVE 20 MINS BACK to re place my order because of course the drink is on point as always smh let me clarify thats $37 for 10 wings and 2 drinks (no sides) with no notion to correct their mistake especially considering the price, its good but c’mon for $40 could’ve at least gave some fries or a drink on the house for the trouble so I will only be returning for the mystery drink unfortunately, the prices are steep for the portions on the food, the wings aren’t even jumbo sized, how good they are doesn’t justify the prices when I know better, they need different supplier or something

I love trying restaurants that are owned by celebrities. Since I was in the area I had to try this restaurant. Despite the negative reviews from my relatives I got it delivered anyway to see for myself. I got the lemon pepper wings with fries and collard greens. It was good overall but the wings needed to be cooked a little more and drain the grease off some more. The collard greens were slightly too salty but the smoked turkey in it was good. Sorry I can’t comment on the restaurant aesthetics or the staff. But their food is good.

I first visited The Licking years ago when it was still Finga Licking, and I’ve been looking forward to coming back ever since. On this trip, we stopped by this location and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the fried wings, mac and cheese, and yams—everything was full of flavor. My husband ordered the salmon bites, fries, and fish tacos, and he loved every bite.
What really made our visit special was our server, Teena. She was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and made us feel like we were dining with old friends. Her warm hospitality was truly the cherry on top.

My husband and I enjoyed our take out lunch at The Licking Sunrise, University Drive. The Cook Ms Berta encouraged me to try the Shrimp Alfredo and WOW she presented a well seasoned creamy Shrimp Alfredo it was super delicious and mouth watering. We also enjoyed the Outstanding Seafood Rice this was worth the time and purchase . We went on and ordered an extra order of Soul-food Fried Seasoned Shrimp. We enjoyed this visit. The Customer Service Care of Ms Berta and Ms K they are outstanding & caring . Ms K surprised me as we waited in the car and brought our order to the front door as we were parked. This was a true WHITE GLOVE SERVICE at The Licking Sunrise, University Drive. Thank You For Making Our Meal Experience “ A Cherished Created Moment”… Forever “ The Wards”.

The food was amazing. The food was well portioned and everything tasted amazing, no exaggeration. The Turkey legs, yams and string beans was so damn good, I couldn’t even believe it. And then I had the fried broccoli oh my lord. Listen, if you’re skeptical, just go and try it. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
