Best fish & chips we’ve had in a long, long time. It’s a little bit pricey as per the location, but absolutely worth it. Massive and THICK cod portions, thick cut chippy chips, and everything else that goes with was excellent. It was so good the first time that we came back again a few days later. Fantastic! We didn’t have any of the Gelato, but it looked just as good.

Light crispy batter on the fish and well cooked chips.
Just staying down the road at the Queens Head Pub we went back after dinner for ice-cream which was magnificent.
The food was perfect and Staff were lovely.

Went today. 7 th March. We were very disappointed with the cod and chips. We had been looking forward to the best fish and chips. Which I may add we have had on quite a few occasions. However looking forward to chip shop chips was a complete disappointment. Half size thin cut chips. COD was not bad. Both my wife and I had indigestion for several hours afterwards. Won’t be going back.

This place is incredibly expensive, to the point where my wife and I ordered only 1 x fish, chips and peas to take-away in order to save money. I was a while back now, but from memory, it still cost around £20. The food was ok, served hot and the packaging was a nice touch. They also have a fully stocked freezer full of ice-cream if thats your thing. I think to be honest, they are taking advantage of the fact they are the only chippy in the main centre of the town, and so are charging for the privilege. Its definitely overpriced.

Their haddock fish and chips are amazing! The batter is so light and crispy, not greasy at all! We dined in, and my partner ordered the regular portion, which was massive—enough to feed two! I got the small one, but it was still super filling. The curry and tartar sauces were perfect together; we loved them! However, it was pricey; we paid £30.50 for the regular and small portions. The gelato was awesome too; I got two scoops for £4!

Line caught haddock was delicious with light, crispy batter. Lovely chunky chips, not greasy or dry, and with a lovely crunch. An absolute banker.

Had lovely fish and chips from here this evening. Even though the shop was not busy the food was freshly fried, not stuff that had been left to keep warm for when customers arrived. The staff were pleasant and if we pass this way again in our camper we may splash out and have a meal in, with tea and bread and butter. Not expensive when you consider how much it is to buy haddock or cod in the shops and at £22 takeaway for two I would say a fair price.

Google maps had us round in circles so cold wet and hungry when we eventually found it was impressed by reasonable prices small fish tea with bread and butter only around £15 good size small and very tasty
