Love to come here when I’m craving seafood! The calamari is always cooked well, crispy crist and tender meat, never rubbery. Fish basket was the same! Flaky fish and crunchy batter. Hushpuppies are a perfect addition. Sweet and savory. The new shrimp tempura appetizer is a great size for a decent price. The delivery of food was very timely.
I also like to order food to go. Since I am Filipino, I like to make my own rice and boiled eggs, as they are soo expensive when you order them at any restaurant.

I have been to plenty of locations that have “boil in a bag” but this place is THE BEST!! Our waitress (Phoebe) was wonderful! So attentive and happy to help. She even giggled with our daughter and made her feel right at home. The food was ridiculously amazing as well. The atmosphere in the whole restaurant is top notch. Tables are far enough apart and doesn’t feel cramped like some places I’ve been. This place is a 10 out of 10. Every trip to Va Beach we will make a trip to Boil Bay. We never want it to change.

Order Philly cheesesteak egg rolls… trash no flavor, seafood fritters.. were ok.. if you have high blood pressure this is the place for you because they have no flavor.. I also ordered a boil bag with the special bay seasoning and it was supposed to be spicy, definitely not, the garlic butter taste like non salted butter minus the garlic, because it didn’t taste a bit of garlic! The restaurant has a nice setting. My server never came back to check on us to see how everything was, He was nice but I had to ask for refills. I definitely will not be returning! But hey you may have a different experience ♀️

Went out with two of my friends, they had been before but i had not. i loved the atmosphere in there, it was so cute and very clean. our waitress was AMAZING, i literally loved her. shoutout phoebe. we had a LOT of questions and she answered them all and didn’t make us feel dumb lol. the food was literally amazing, best boil i’ve ever had. the drinks were awesome too. 10/10 would recommend and would come back.

This place was the truth. We were visiting from PA, and we had just come from the beach. My wife googled seafood boils, and Boil Bay came up. Off we went. We got there, there was no wait, so we were seated right away.
A few moments later, our waiter came and took our drink orders first, then came back and took our food orders.
Three of us got the Combo C with different variations, and my youngest daughter just wanted snow crab legs.
It didn’t take very long for the food to come out. Let’s just say there were NO leftovers to take home. Everything was good. My wife and I even had the Strawberry Hennessy, which was also good.
Oh, by the way-they had some good music playing also.
I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in Virginia Beach.

I love seafood, so I was excited to try this place in Norfolk Virginia. The place looks cute and seemed busy. Good music, but the service was horrible and the waitstaff acted as if I was bothering them. The food came and the only thing I could brag about was the sauce, but it wasn’t hot enough. And the food needed to be cooked longer. And they Fly in that place was honestly horrible. And the place was a bit dingy and needed a good cleaning.

I would NOT recommend Boil Bay. We went for my mother’s birthday. Food portions in the boil bag were skimp. There were about 6 shrimp, 4 pieces of sausage, and only a cluster and a half of crab legs. Food did not have seasoning, it tasted like watered down butter. Upon my brother complaining about the food, the waiter walked away and would not listen. Not to mention after eating the food had our stomachs all messed up. Also saw an employee walk out of the bathroom stall and not wash her hands before returning to working. I would recommend Shaking Crab or Twisted Crab before ever going back here.

I’m a foodie and I had a taste for oysters and fries. This is the worst seafood place I ever went to the oysters cost about $16 comes with fries. They were so small. I was wondering if they cut one oyster in half. The fried rice was dry and had little flavorand please do not order the beignets and think they’re gonna be beignets if you look up what a beignet is, it is a light fluffy French pastry what they call beignets come in round little hard, crunchy balls. By myself and returning his food today, and I don’t see a reason why they won’t give me my money back because it has not been eaten. they really need to start with them little baby oysters for $16 when there are places you can get your moneys worth like twisted crab and the fries were nasty no flavor.
I will try this place again since I was given a full refund for my entire meal and try the boil bag

Our first time here, we came to celebrate our birthdays! Everything was very delicious, the fried everything platter had calamari, shrimp, fish, crab cakes, oysters, sweet potato and regular fries, and hush puppies! The boil bags had plenty in them as well. Service was great and the atmosphere was a little loud for a restaurant. When we were leaving and think they were setting up for a band. Overall we would definitely come back!!
