attached photo shows the undercooked rice I received. It was hard and unpleasant to eat.
I had the same issue a month ago and left a 2-star review, expecting improvement.
Unfortunately, on Oct 14 at 2:20 p.m., it happened again. This clearly shows ongoing neglect in food preparation and quality control.
This issue needs immediate attention from management to ensure proper cooking standards are met.
Previous review:
Packed at lunch due to its location near SF’s Financial District. They rush orders to keep up with the crowd, which sometimes leaves the rice undercooked — a shame, because everything else (meat, beans, sauces) is solid. Unfortunately, that undercooked rice pulls the whole meal down. 2 stars.

Chipotle Mexican Grill – Downtown Sutter Street This place is getting worse and worse both food quality and service wise imhv while Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc (CMG) announces additional $1.8B of stock buybacks and as of today’s date is listed at 33.94 USD. First, service is terrible as if you were walking into “enemy territory” no English no smile shitty attitude as if they were owed some money or you had forgotten to pay back some favor. Second, food is a mixture its salads look pretty fresh the rest is a mess: ❶ Rice especially brown rice is not well done or properly cooked. ❷Frijoles don’t look too well prepared. ❸ Tortillas are not properly heated or not warm enough. ❹ The worst is the quantity of chicken or beef {“protein” in their professional terminology} is ridiculously getting less than what you pay. Take a look at the chicken burrito I ordered the other day where is my chicken?
Oh well, economics are not necessarily politics but the Corporate needs better train this new work crew and to seek “anger management” treatment before realizing anybody’s “American Dream” is hinged upon your recognition, respect and acquiescence to our common values and protocols of this great country hence assimilating to our society regardless what language you speak or where your original root is from. Chew on that…

Lunch line moves very fast and you might feel rushed to order, so try to have your exact order in mind beforehand. They were generous with the portions, but they put too much green salsa so it was quite sour. Otherwise, pretty standard and a dolid meal for a good price

Edit: possibly undercooked chicken and smaller portion this time

Honestly quite disappointed. I always stop by here to get Chipotle as the location is quite convenient for me. I’ve gotten pick up orders as well as in person.

This time I ordered it online and went in to pick it up. The cashier staff wasn’t really nice when there was a lot of downtime and I asked to see if my order was done.

I went upstairs to eat my sofritas and I found a piece of steak in my food. As a vegetarian this honestly is a huge deal breaker. I went down and told the staff in the front. They don’t seem to want to help. Luckily, the manager was around and she helped me remake it.

The manger of this location is always hard working and quite responsive to customer’s matters.

I wish this didn’t happen but I hope my sofritas don’t come with steak or other meats in the future.

Tried this place over weekend for lunch and it’s so bad. Rice is not cooked. Gauc is not fresh, they don’t have napkins. Three over all atmosphere is really bad.

I ordered a carnitas bowl online for takeout. Once I got back and opened the bowl, I only saw beans and some pieces of whatever other ingredients they added. I always was a big fan of chipotle but this was upsetting and disappointing.

First Chipotle I’ve been to with a second floor. Definitely more expensive in San Francisco than elsewhere, but that makes sense. Still great food, great quantity, great vegan items (love these sofritas and beans).

I used to frequent this chipotle years ago when I worked close by. My how the portion sizes have changed! Two very small scoops of chicken atmosphere also left something to be desired. Highlight was the internal temperature of the burrito which I credit to the fresh bucket of chicken.

I ordered a burrito online but couldn’t add the free guac reward received. When I was at the restaurant, the lady tried to scan the reward but was unsuccessful. Michael Chun came and told me that I have to order at the counter in order to use the reward. However i show him the term and condition of the reward and inform him that i could use it for an online purchase. He refused to help me and told me to call the customer service number. When I asked him for his name , store id and the customer service number , he told me to stand aside and refused to provide me with the information. I insisted for the next 5 mins and he reluctantly gave me the details. After speaking’s you the customer service agent and sending pics of the reward on the app, she gave me a code for free guac. Michael Chun reluctantly process the transaction for me. I took the burrito that I’ve ordered and guac and left. As soon as I stepped out of the restaurant, I felt something dripping on my jeans. When I looked down, I saw the the burrito poking out from the bottom of the bag. The bottom of the bag was soaked with some liquid. I went back in the restaurant and demanded a refund. Micheal refused to give me a refund and asked me to call customer service again. The staff must have done something to my burrito and this is a serious violation of food safety
