I had the same issue a month ago and left a 2-star review, expecting improvement.
Unfortunately, on Oct 14 at 2:20 p.m., it happened again. This clearly shows ongoing neglect in food preparation and quality control.
This issue needs immediate attention from management to ensure proper cooking standards are met.
Previous review:
Packed at lunch due to its location near SF’s Financial District. They rush orders to keep up with the crowd, which sometimes leaves the rice undercooked — a shame, because everything else (meat, beans, sauces) is solid. Unfortunately, that undercooked rice pulls the whole meal down. 2 stars.
Oh well, economics are not necessarily politics but the Corporate needs better train this new work crew and to seek “anger management” treatment before realizing anybody’s “American Dream” is hinged upon your recognition, respect and acquiescence to our common values and protocols of this great country hence assimilating to our society regardless what language you speak or where your original root is from. Chew on that…
Edit: possibly undercooked chicken and smaller portion this time
This time I ordered it online and went in to pick it up. The cashier staff wasn’t really nice when there was a lot of downtime and I asked to see if my order was done.
I went upstairs to eat my sofritas and I found a piece of steak in my food. As a vegetarian this honestly is a huge deal breaker. I went down and told the staff in the front. They don’t seem to want to help. Luckily, the manager was around and she helped me remake it.
The manger of this location is always hard working and quite responsive to customer’s matters.
I wish this didn’t happen but I hope my sofritas don’t come with steak or other meats in the future.
