This was my second time coming. The food was amazing amazingly, the service was phenomenal, I always feel right at home with the atmosphere. Luckily we got there before the dinner Valentine’s Day rush so we could have a place to sit. The banana pudding has been one of the best I’ve had!

Service was good. Food was terrible! Not sure what meat the brisket really was. Pulled pork such low quality it didn’t taste like real meat. Wilbur beans were not eatable. Good coleslaw and sugary biscuits. I will not go back. Not the Dave’s I remember from the 90s.

Tiffany is an excellent waitress and was very attentive to our needs! Thank you for your wonderful service! The food was hot and fresh and everything just how we wanted it. Would definitely come here again. Their reward system is so good too! $1 spent equal 1 point, 100 points equals a $10 reward! Do it, you won’t regret it!

Ordered the 3 meat combo with 2 sides and an extra meat. I requested an extra cornbread for side and only received 1 although it states 2 on receipt. I ordered 2 chicken servings but and even told them I wanted 1 white and 1 dark but was missing the wing so only got 3 PCs. Pretty disappointed seeing I spent nearly $30 which included a tip. I’m a truck driver so going back was out the question.

Measure this place for a new Mexican restaurant location. This is the last Famous Dave’s in the area and this one will soon close because they cannot even serve hot food! There is 1 male waiter that is the most unprofessional waiter I have ever experienced and he should be fired along with the cooks. These people’s only job is to warm up food (It’s already been cooked) and they cannot even warm up food! When this place closes we will get another barbeque franchise from the south that will not let Iowa people mess things up. The CEO of Famous Dave’s should also be fired as way to many of them have closed. Glad there are allot of Southern barbeque franchises that will soon take over Iowa

I was there last night with my family. Waited more than an hour for our order. The waiter didn’t come once. When he finally brought the food, it was partial. We had to wait on the rest of it for another 15 min. Then he brought me a plate of broccoli and corn and said they had to redo my order. The final result was tow chicken breasts that were burned on a grill that smelled like it was never washed. I wouldn’t even give that to my dog. The waiter was very rude, he threw the straws at us instead of placing them on the table and avoided us at any cost.
I do t normally write reviews but this is the worst experience I have ever had and I thought people should know so they don’t waste hair money on this kind of service.

I have been to many famous Dave’s restaurants from Chicago to Minneapolis from Minneapolis to Tacoma Washington but this famous Dave’s in Iowa West Des Moines was the worst I ever been to. It was 3 years ago and I ordered some rib tips but they didn’t know what that was they didn’t even know about Southside rib tips how can you work in the famous Dave’s and not know about Southside rib tips and what they gave me was horrible I haven’t been back since. I hope they have a new cook and a better informed staff . Well I’m back up to 3 years. They know what Southside ribs is now. But the ribs smell like they have been sitting out and there was no smoke taste to the ribs. I used to run a pit in Chicago. And these ribs are not smoked. My suggestion is that whoever’s doing the cooking should Go to a famous Dave restaurant in either Minneapolis or Chicago and taste their food and get a pallet for famous Dave flavor even the Wilbur beans or not famous Dave’s River beans they need to go through a whole seminar and maybe maybe management would take this trip also.

My husband and I came in for a meal after work on a Monday. It was fairly slow at the restaurant with only 6 tables filled. The service we had was overall slow as there was only one waiter and then the host who was also waiting tables. When we received our meals the meat on the ribs was dry and overcooked. Baby-back ribs should be tender, not chewy. The onion strings were also swimming in grease. The Mac n cheese also appeared to have corn in it which wasn’t listed anywhere on the menu. While we like BBQ, it cost us more for 2 people here than 3 people in a different BBQ restaurant in town for much more mediocre food. Hopefully we just stopped in on a bad night, but we’ll see.

My wife Cathy and I love Famous Dave’s pick up service as part of our regular rotation for ordering out. The food is great and most often ready when the Famous Dave’s App says it will be ready
Also, I can’t remember if or when an order was incorrect
Ordering from different eateries through DD, the delivery time is rarely at the time said upon ordering and frequently cold
Ordering Pick up from FD’s is such an easy process and over the years, the food always tastes great!!

We went to this location a couple of weeks ago. We hadn’t been in awhile but the food has gotten pricey and the portions much smaller. The little bit i could taste was ok but it was not worth the price. Also I don’t like the concept of the new hand help credit card machines. The server just hovered while I put in her tip. It’s like they are pressuring you to give them something good. We will not be back.
