Pretty Darn Authentic, haven’t had any food of this quality in 20 years. It was an emotional experience to taste creole food again and share it with my kids. Our waiter who took our reservation picked the perfect table, out timing was perfect so we had a quiet intimate experience for our family of five. I had a Hurricane which was a fantastic and beautiful drink. The Hush Puppies were perfectly cooked, sauce on the side was a great compliment for them and the Fried Cat Fish which was FANTASTIC. Our youngest devoured his cheese grits and grilled fish (pictured and off the kids menu). The VC Gumbo was Dark Spicy and warmed the soul, loved it. My husband had the Fried Catfish over Grits and he loved it. The Grits were prepared expertly and all three of our kids loved them. Two who did not order them wished they did and wanted more. The Bread Pudding with Ice Cream and House Made Carmel was divine and nearly put the kids in an instant food coma on the car ride back to the hotel. We splurged, we were celebrating good health news for our middle child, we have ZERO regrets everything we ordered we loved. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Vieux Carre NOLA Kitchen has a fun vibe and the food is divine. We were lucky enough to get in without a reservation on a Saturday and we dined at the bar. The pecan crusted ling cod tasted divine as did the jambalaya pasta and large prawns. Without a doubt, this is one of our favorite restaurants in Spokane for a special dining experience.

Took a trip to Spokane this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised to find such a great NOLA kitchen there – Vieux Carre NOLA hooked it up! They served brunch til 2pm so didnt get a chance to try the full menu but the bits we did, didnt disappoint!

Bacon wrapped shrimp and cheesy grits. This is one of my favorite southern eats, it speaks to my soul. Stone ground grits gives it a creamer texture than instant grits. The cheese was melted nicely and complimented the texture. The bacon wrapped shrimp was cooked well – i would say the sweet in the sauce was ALMOST too sweet but it balanced quickly with the salty of the bacon and the smooth grits. I ate everything including the tails, it was that good.

Chicken and Waffles. Who knew this dynamic duo would be such a staple in brunch eats. Chicken thighs fried to a perfect crisp. Just the fact it was thighs should tell you its legit. The waffles could have been a stand alone dish, spicy white cheddar waffles was done right, soft on the inside with a touch of crisp on the outside. These two combined made it the first time I devoured chicken and waffles without syrup. I did dip it in some hot sauce for extra flavor action but it was far from needed.

Bread pudding French toast with a bourbon peach topping. Due to sheer gluttony, I struggled to enjoy this dish. The bread pudding was done well – the bourbon peaches were good too but just too much sweet for my taste buds. I would go with the other topping option of banana fosters at my next visit to see if it has a better balance. Perhaps a Chantilly cream would have helped.

Ambiance was super cute too. Like a old style Victorian house type feels comfortable seating and very friendly staff. Definitely coming back for the rest of the menu!

Really good Cajun restaurant. The food was excellent. I had the crab beignets, which were very good. I also had the bacon-wrapped shrimp and grits, which were excellent. I can’t say enough about it. The service was very good, friendly, and nice.

From reviews and every table within earshot, the cornbread app is a must… and they were right! It was fantastic. Crisp outside, tender in; ever so slight accent from the green onions compliments the sweet honey and butter. My bacon wrapped shrimp w/ grits was savory and the red eye gravy had a wonderful sweetness. My wife had the catfish and was SOLD. The batter was amazing: crunchy yet tender. The cocktails were also very well balanced (sweet enough, but definitely not your foo-foo drink)

Such amazing NOLA cuisine in Spokane! The decor, cocktails, food and service have been fantastic all the years we’ve gone here. We love the grilled oysters, no pic due to us snatching it up too fast.

Went because my lady and I were curious about the Cajun cuisine since there weren’t many spots like it around us, and we were not disappointed at all. The food was fantastic. We had the Red Crab Beignets for an appetizer, our entrees were the Fried Catfish and the Jambalaya, and we decided to get the Croissant Bread Pudding for dessert. I cannot recommend this place enough, the staff were incredibly friendly and were able to fit us in without reservations. Shoutout to Sam for being the best host/bartender, he will treat you well

We made reservations to celebrate our marriage, and everything about the experience was exceptional. The service was phenomenal, and the food was absolutely scrumptious. Our waitress asked if we were celebrating anything, and when we shared that we had just gotten married, she congratulated us warmly. To our surprise, when the bill came, we were told it had been covered. We’re not sure if it was from a kind guest or the restaurant, but we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made an already unforgettable day even more special. We can’t wait to return and relive the moment over the delicious food!

This place was great. I’m a big fan of NOLA and the food scene there so I was surprised how well this Eastern Washington restaurant executed the food. Delicious . Our server was really cool. She was great to talk to about exploring the flavors of the dishes. Highly recommend
