Delicious! Food was so good we ordered desert (which we were glad we did because it was amazing!) atmosphere was nice and cozy. All ingredients were fresh and seemed to be handmade. Oh man was this good!

The Villa Restaurant in Eastpointe is a staple that has been serving up authentic Italian dishes to Eastsiders for generations. We arrived in the early afternoon on a Sunday so it wasn’t too busy. The restaurant’s decor is cozy and warm with lots of interesting trinkets and vibrant artwork throughout the restaurant. Our friendly, attentive waitress got us started with some beverages and a basket of bread (and bread sticks!) while we looked over the menu. I love those thick, crunchy sesame encrusted breadsticks! YUM!! (cold, hard butter pats…boo!)
It didn’t take long for us to decide what we wanted to order. I started with a cup of their minestrone soup. The soup was a little brothier than I like, but it had a nice flavor and there was a lot of pasta, beans and veggies hiding at the bottom of the cup. It had a fresh, homemade taste.
My entree came with a house salad. I spent 3 extra bucks to upgrade it to their antipasto salad. Slices of cured meats and cheese and a few black olives were set on top of a crispy, cold salad. Their salad dressing is served on the side of the salad in a cute glass carafe. The dressing is really good. It’s a smooth, creamy Italian dressing that has the perfect balance of spices, sweetness and vinegar. It’s a little runny so it easily coats every nook and cranny of the salad. YUM. I ate that whole salad!!
For my entree I ordered ‘Tony’s Trio’. It came with baked lasagna, chicken parmesan and pasta alfredo. The lasagna was served piping hot in a small crock. The lasagna was thick layers of meat, noodles and cheese. It was very good. The tomato sauce was a little on the mild side. The chicken parmesan was a thin, breadcrumb-coated chicken breast that was fried to perfection. The meat was juicy and the crust was crispy! It was topped with a dollop of their tomato sauce and covered with cheese. The cheese was broiled and served gooey, slightly brown and bubbly. It was very good. I wish it had been set on top of a little serving of spaghetti because it seemed so lonely just sitting there on the platter.
The pasta alfredo was a little disappointing. The fettuccine noodles were tossed in a creamy, cheesy garlic sauce. The sauce is very creamy, actually it’s a little runny. It wasn’t as cheesy or garlicky as I expected it to be. The overwhelming flavor of the sauce was cream. I smothered mine in parmesan cheese and black pepper which amped up the flavor quite a bit! Unfortunately the pasta alfredro was not hot. I was looking forward to this part of the trio the most and I was bummed it lacked flavor and HEAT!
Overall I enjoyed my dinner at the Villa Restaurant. The ambience was warm and nostalgic. Look at the picture of the bill! It’s screaming 1980! Although I could have tolerated a little more garlic in my dishes, I won’t complain! The food tasted authentic and was delicious! At these prices, I would definitely go back.

The service was great but the food not so much. We were looking for a new Italian restaurant and the reviews were great so we decided to try it out. We were seated fast witch was great. We got our drinks fast, but then to the food. My husband ordered pizza and it was very soggy and chewy. He was not impressed. I ordered the chicken parm with Alfredo. My salad was pretty much the whites of a head of lettuce with an odd taste. They put so much ranch on it wgen i asked for it on the side, then the chicken parm had chewy pieces or hard pieces like bone or cartilage or idk what it was so I kept spitting pieces out. There was hardly and sauce on it and the cheese was cold. As for the Alfredo, they should of put it in a bowl and gave me a spoon its was so watery with no taste. I really wanted to like this place. Maybe I will give it another try because the food options are great but if its anything like my first experience we wo nt be back

Really enjoyed our time here. The service was attentive, pleasant and friendly. The dinning area feels personal but spacious. Their in-house salad dressing is hands down the best dressing I have ever had and will purchase some to have at home. It is well worth it. Overall the food we had was good. I had to add a little salt to some of the dishes but I was completely satisfied with all that we tried and would order them again, although I want to try the pizza next time. We look forward to our next visit.

Came here on a Saturday night about an hour and a half before they closed. WOW!!! I am so happy I came here! The atmosphere is so charming. The calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had. We got it with marinara sauce instead of cocktail sauce and that was a great choice. The chicken Parmesan was the best I’ve had around Detroit so far. I was blown away. The bread was warm, the house wine was yummy, and the sauce was perfect. I was a little less impressed by the pizza, but I’m still glad I tried it. (I just think the dough could use a bit more salt). The chicken noodle soup was also good as a side – it looks plain but the flavor was really good. Overall this was a GREAT dining experience and it really hit the spot without breaking the bank 🙂 everything together was $45.

If you want a place place with good Italian food that is homemade, this is the place. The cheese sticks and cheese bread came out nice and gooy, the lasagna is a big portion, meat ravioli was cooked amazingly, and the pizza, omg. The perfect amount of toppings and cheese, with a nice sweet and crunchy crust.

Closest to ‘Windsor style’ I’ve had.
Firm undercarriage, crust dough is airy and crunchy.
Cheese had a decent stretch, I would guess a low fat blend because it wasn’t greasy and I ordered the heart stopper. It was bacon, ham and I was pleasantly surprised with canned mushrooms. Often when fresh ones are used the pie can be soggy.
The sauce was sweet and between the crust and toppings, where it belongs.
Using cornmeal would crunch up the undercarriage but I can honestly say this was my favourite pie, I have had in Detroit.
It’s not cheap, but more than willing to pay for quality.

This has become one of my favorite places to go eat at. I only had it for the first time about 8 months ago and I think I’ve eaten here once a month at least. Everything we have gotten has been amazing. And the Fettuccine Alfredo is incredible!

I got the vegetarian pizza.I was very disappointed. It didn’t hit the mark for me or my son. Every friday we get vegetarian pizza from different restaurants. This one was highly recommended. Maybe their regular pizza is better, but it didn’t hit the mark with us.
