All right my peeps, this is the place to go if you are hungry and you want some ma and pop type food from some absolutely hilarious, good lookin people! The fries are obviously fresh cut and fried and bomb, the burgers were delicious the chicken salad was off the chain and the free bucket was a bonus just passing through Salem and happened to pick that spot for lunch and I do not regret it at all! #gem

This was our first time back in about a year because I had a couple of consecutive bad experiences where I ordered their German corn dogs (which were sooo good) and was either given the cheaper kid’s corn dog (which is really gross) or they changed their German hot dog for a less quality one. It was gross and had the weirdest texture. I still can’t get that taste out of my mouth. I literally fed them to my dog.
We ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers, Cajun fries, and a cheeseburger basket for our son.
We got home and the first thing I noticed was the burgers are much smaller than they used to be. They used to be on large sesame seed buns. But tbh, I liked the new buns much better. They don’t fall apart like the old ones. The second thing I noticed was they didn’t put bacon on our burgers like we ordered and paid for. They also didn’t put tomato on my burger like I asked for. My hubby had been out in the heat all day and did not feel like going all the way back to have them fix our burgers, so he called to see if they could just refund us the difference. He called three times with no answer. Today we call and talked to the manager Sarah who put us on a list to get free bacon on our burgers next time. I would have preferred a refund but this was satisfactory.
We both thought our burgers were okay except they weren’t how we wanted them and they were a little dry. I have absolutely no idea how they’ve won best burger in Salem for 11 years in a row. They’re not even in the top 5. People need to try more restaurants in Salem apparently. I do recommend their green leaf lettuce rather than the iceberg which had absolutely no flavor. The Cajun fries were good but not as good as 5 Guys. The only thing, besides the buns, that I was impressed with was my son’s cheeseburger basket with fries. Mostly because it was a decent portion for the price.

Nancy Jo’s is consistently solid. The burgers are fresh and flavorful, the fries are crispy, and the portions are generous for the price. Service is quick and friendly without feeling rushed, and the place has a relaxed, local vibe. Easy spot to count on for a good meal—definitely worth stopping in.

The styrofoam container is melted to my burger… nothing like a burg with a side of carcinogens LOL also ordered Cajun fries…. The Cajun is not in the room with us and my burger has pickles, which was not on my short list of things I did want on it.

This is a great local spot. Nothing fancy, but comfortable for lunch, especially. Efficient staff, delicious burgers with lots of topping choices, but my favorite thing is the super delicious fries. They are skin on medium thickness, not super crisp but superb potato flavor.

The food is hot, appealing and it’s delicious! The chicken strips are more like slabs and are extremely hot, so give them time to cool off, some. We love it.

Last two times I have been very disappointed. I arrived home to find my order was not correct. Had to go all the way back. Next time I went the burger was charred and not juicy. It used to be so much better and I am very disappointed.

Normally it’s so good when I come here, today I got my usual food, why was my burger so soggy, like to the point that I couldn’t pick it up the bottom was so soggy, slippery and wet I had to take it apart and only eat some of it, I requested leaf lettuce and why was it brown? The other burger had a ton of nasty toppings we didn’t ask for nor did I know was included, the fries we asked for crispy and they were soggy sad fries, very disappointed.
