Silos Restaurant at Pier B in Duluth was outstanding. The food was beautifully plated, and each dish had a distinct flavor profile with thoughtful variation between courses that made every item stand out. The drinks were well-crafted, balanced, and presented with attention to detail.

The atmosphere is hard to beat, overlooking Lake Superior and the Lift Bridge. It is a scenic, relaxed setting that makes it an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Pricing felt very fair for the quality, and the service was attentive and professional. Overall, a great experience and a spot worth returning to.

Relaxed atmosphere with a nice view of the harbor. Friendly and attentive staff. Super delicious food! Highly recommend the fried cheese curds! Definitely making this part of my Duluth stops.
Along with the cheese curds, I ordered the Norwegian Salmon, with wild rice and onion rings.

We stopped on our way up and back from a trip to superior. This was such a convenient place to stop and the food and view did not disappoint. I had the chicory and chickpea salad with grilled salmon on it. It was divine!
My husband had the wagu sliders and he loved them. When we came back he tried the breakfast tacos and I had the smoked salmon arugula sandwich which I asked for an egg on. It was all amazing!
I highly recommend this place.

My wife, some friends, and I made a trip up to the Duluth area to enjoy a few activities, and after a long day we were ready to grab something to eat. We came across Silos and figured it looked like a great spot to try. Parking wasn’t terrible, but since the lot is shared by several nearby businesses, it was tough to find a good spot on a weekend.

Once we parked and walked in, we were seated fairly quickly, which was a plus. That said, it did take a while before our server even acknowledged us. By the time he came over, we had been sitting for quite a bit, so we went ahead and ordered everything right away. My wife and I ordered the walleye cakes and a few drinks. When the drinks came out, my wife’s Diet Pepsi was missing, so I had to ask our server to get it.

For dinner, I ordered the Norwegian salmon with lemon pepper green beans and garlic mashed potatoes which was a wonderful combination. My wife had the seafood pasta, but it wasn’t quite what the menu described. Not sure if there was a new chef or if something changed in the kitchen.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad first visit. There were some bumps, but the location is great–right off Lake Superior with outdoor seating and a beautiful view. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, the menu has solid options, and when the food is prepared right, it’s full of flavor. The drinks were also really good, even the virgin margarita was a smash hit.

A few things could definitely be improved: service felt slow even though it wasn’t very busy, and there wasn’t any welcome or smiles when we arrived, just kind of routine. Parking can be tough, and if you have mobility issues, even the short walk from out front could be a bit much.

That said, we’re open to giving it another try. There are other items on the menu we’re curious to try, and we visit Duluth at least once or twice a year so hopefully next time, the service will step up and this place can become one of our go-to spots.

Delicious!! The walleye cakes are so flavorful and light. We really enjoyed the sauce on the cakes paired with the dill cabbage. The cheese curds are out of this world with the jalepeno raspberry jam! So good. For main meals we had the brisket grilled cheese and the wagu beef steak sandwich. We both liked the brisket grilled cheese more. Great service and views.

The steak bites were unfortunately cold by the time it got to the table but regardless was definitely tasty and would recommend to stop here for the restaurant if in the area.

Great atmosphere for sure…food was good but not superior to the steak I make at home. I was impressed by the vegetable selection and the perfection in the taste and tenderness of those items. The cocktail menu was massive in various selections. I enjoyed the THC Cosmopolitan very much.

We celebrated our anniversary at Pier B and had dinner reservations at Silo Restaurant planned in advance through open table. When I call the restaurant they were great to coordinate with and helped me with getting my (3rd party) flowers delivered to our table prior to our arrival, so that was tremendously appreciated and above and beyond IMO.
Our server, whose name is Taylor was really wonderful. He did not rush us as you would find in or ‘feel’ from many other restaurants. He was humorous, very personable and had the perfect balance of ‘checking-in’ to see if we needed anything. He was able to help us with wine selection, menu advice and truly had the dessert connections under ownership. 🙂 Also… just get the dessert, even if you have to take it home, the carrot cake was tremendous. Silo… you have the atmosphere down, the chef certainly did an exquisite job on the ribeye, mussels, and calamari, however… the folks like Taylor on the ‘front-line’ make the night memorable, meaningful and provide us as clients unique experiences to share with friends and family. Please extend our appreciation. Thanks for the great dinner!

I came here over the weekend, I really enjoyed myself. My wife and I sat out on the patio and shared a bacon cheeseburger and walleye cakes. I couldn’t get a picture of the walleye we ate it kinda fast they were so delicious. It came with a tasty aioli sauce and some green and pickled cabbage. The fries were so crispy and flavorful. The bacon on the burger could have been done more and separately then assembled to keep that integrity of the flavor to complete the burger. But it was still good. The waitress was really nice and attentive, made sure my burger was cook right, I really appreciated that!

it wasn’t a lot of food for the price; for example, $36 for a medium piece of walleye with 6 potatoes as a side didn’t seem very worth it. The food also wasn’t great. My plate came out lukewarm and the other plate came out boiling hot. In my opinion, not worth it for the money.
