Absolutely amazing ! Jumbo meatball was insanely good. Shared it with 4 people total and was plenty. Great flavor and presentation was beautiful. Had the chicken parm for dinner and best friend for the Parmesan crusted halibut- we split each!
The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted great
The chicken parm was enough for both of us and we had left overs!
Our server was wonderful and did a great job explaining the specials and was quick with anything we needed. The host took our photo when we left and was so sweet!
Our bar tender was a little short and not very personable but still made great drinks for our small group
Was there to celebrate a birthday and this was some of the best food I’ve ever had
Would recommend to anyone in or around the banner elk area !

We traveled from Alexandria, VA for the weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday and noted that in the reservation(Primo). I don’t want to come off as entitled because I’m not, I’m active duty Army and didn’t ask for any kind of military discount or special treatment, but I was a little surprised that no one acknowledged the occasion. Still, I’m able to look pass that because it’s not anyone’s job to do so.
However, I can’t look pass the service. Our main server was very short with us and didn’t come across as welcoming at all, which put a bit of a damper on what was supposed to be a special night. I understand people have off days, and we still tipped well, but it was a bummer overall from a service standpoint.
On a positive note, the dessert was fantastic and really helped end the evening on a high note. It’s clear the kitchen puts a lot of care into the food—I just wish the service had matched that level.

We took my son here for his birthday dinner. I had the rigatoni, my wife had the crab cakes, son and his girlfriend both had the halibut daily special. I love Italian food and I’m picky about it. The rigatoni was incredible (I added meatballs). I tasted my wife’s crab cakes and they were delicious. Coconut shrimp appetizer was amazing, and my son and his girlfriend loved the halibut. My wife and I split a pistachio cheesecake, son got the chef’s table brownie and there was enough for everyone to have a taste. Everything was excellent and I over ate to the point that I thought I might get sick (my fault, I’m a glutton). It’s a drive for us to get there, but worth it and we’ll be going back.

Second time coming here and the meal was great! We had the appetizers: artichoke and mozzarella. Artichoke was so good! Mozzarella was ok, but the marinara sauce made up for it! Had the veal francese- AMAZING!

Always a great experience. We were so hungry that we didn’t take pics of the food. This place is very nice and the food and serviced were all fantastic. Chicken parm and fettuccine Alfredo were excellent. Calamari was outstanding and their bread is phenomenal. Great location, awesome ambiance, and just amazing experience.

We had a reservation at got there about little early and we were sat immediately.
Staff was very nice and the food was delicious. Complimentary garlic rolls were brought to the table – they were not as warm as I would have liked, but they were perfectly baked nice and soft.
Mozzarella appetizer was none like we have seen served before. It was delicious and I give it a thumbs up.
I had the tortellini entree that comes with ham in a cream sauce. The ham was overcooked and dry, but the overall dish was yummy. Shared with my Toddler and he approved!
Husband had the shrimp parm – rarely seen this on a menu and it was perfectly cooked. He enjoyed it.
I ordered the Lychee martini to have before my meal, which was ordered when we ordered the appetizer. Once my food arrived, I asked to cancel the martini since it still had not arrived and I personally preferred it prior to my meal instead of with. She immediately arrived after I asked to cancel it saying “just on time!”. Not exactly ma’am…. Lol.
Service was a little slow in some aspects and it took a while to get our check.
The food was great and it’s once of the few nicer places around town. If you’re in the mood for a nice sit down Italian dinner, then I recommend!
