I’ve passed by many times wanting to stop. Today I stopped in. As always there were a lot of cars in the lot. I went in and barely anyone was there. I was asked if eating in and I responded yes. I was only asked if I wanted buffet, I responded yes. I did see a sign there were other seafood options. Only when checking out did I pretty much have ANY interaction with anyone else there. Not once was offered a refill to drink or anything. I also noticed that on my way out they had menus. That would have been nice to to know known that was an option. As for cleanliness, there was food in the floor. The food itself was okay.

Recommended by a local friend so we tried it. Not much to offer. The buffet was limited and super greasy. Fried potatoes were cold and tasted like freezer burn. Unseasoned and bland. Not a place I’ll visit again.

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was okay, it’s your typical little out of the way barbecue place. The heating is not the best, as it was a cold night we went and I was kind of in the chilly side while eating. Overall, we enjoyed the food and will return.

Tried this place at noon on a Sunday. Every server was polite and accommodating. Humble little buffet that really packed a punch. Fried chicken, fried catfish, bbq, roast beef and ribs were accompanied by plenty of great sides next to the cold bar with salads and a few desserts followed by a big tray of warming hush puppies. The buffet was continually stocked with fresh food.
Mashed potato’s were great on their own even without the roast beef gravy! Cabbage was good enough to earn a spot on the second round. Didn’t try the bbq or stewed apples. Salad was premade in the buffet tray and had plenty of bits of green peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes with cheese you added on your own.
I had to debate what I’d get on my second trip as the small sample of entree items on my first trip were honestly, very good. Have to say the fried fish and ribs beat out the fried chicken (which is a Sunday staple! And was crunchy, juicy and had tons of flavor). Grabbed a menu on the way out because I’ll definitely be back.

Nice, accommodating staff. They don’t serve bbq until lunch time (starting around 11), but were nice enough to heat me up some as a serving. Their breakfast options are also all good

The Blackened tuna, oysters and scallops were great and service was good. My only reason for four and not five stars was the tartar sauce was readymade store bought in place a being made in the restaurant. I will return if in the area.

I’ve been twice. The buffet was good. A lot of variety. The second time, I ordered fish & chips, which usually is fish & fries. I got fish & potato chips. Service is great.

A must go to when in or passing Hertford North Carolina, the buffet is a nice choice although we ordered off the menu as I was on limited mobility. Service was punctual and frequent with beverages and complimentary hush puppies. The barbecue is some of the best in the Carolina’s served. Very good coleslaw as well.
