We drive an hour to come here because the food is so authentic and delicious. The energy is always wonderful and every dish is truly excellent. We always order the chicken tamales and I love to order a spinach and garlic pupusa. In a concrete jungle like Dallas it’s so rare to find such a local place that delivers every time!

I tried pupusas for the first time and had a great experience. The lady who helped me had amazing customer service and was one of the few staff who spoke English. I got the cheese, shrimp, and garlic pupusas, and I loved that they came with a side of slaw.
If it’s your first time, I’d skip the plain cheese and go for shrimp, garlic, or another option, since pupusas already contain cheese.
They’re quite filling and I got full after just one and a half. I can’t wait to go back and try the plantain and a new flavor of pupusa.

Doña Lola in Carrollton is one of those places you almost want to keep a secret because it’s that good. The food is absolutely incredible!! Fresh authentic, and full of flavor! You can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients.

On October 29, 2025, I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment for the first time after discovering it on Instagram. The food exceeded my expectations; I ordered three garlic spinach pupusas and one jalapeño pupusa, and they were impressively large and generously filled with cheese. The accompanying cabbage salad was also abundant, enhancing the overall experience. The staff at the front counter were exceptionally friendly, making the visit even more enjoyable. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu offerings.

Fantastic pupusas and other authentic Salvadoran food. The cheese pull was mouthwatering. The ingredients were fresh and the owner Eduardo was very nice and spent a lot of time checking on us and making sure we were taken care of. Make sure to come check out this local gem!

Visiting from the north east so we don’t get much experience eating pupusas. It was great for variety to order and they were all made fresh for us. The quality was great and we enjoyed the taste. There was a jar of vegetable condiments. (see picture), to go on the Pupusas. It was casual dining and the service was great, although it was not crowded at the time. Although I cannot compare it to other Pupusa places, I recommend it as an excellent dining experience.

The pupusas are huge and delicious. The horchata was really good. Rosy was super nice and gave us great service. Would recommend this place. Super clean and friendly environment. Also really clean.
