I ordered my food, they had me pay before they ever started cooking. That should have been the first red flag. The server taking my order seemed clueless. Another guy came in after me and ordered his food with a different server and his order was put on the grill before mine, even though I was done ordering before him. My server called out my order wrong, when I politely corrected him, he still continued to call out the wrong thing. The cook had no idea on what went into which order. I told him three different times that he was putting the wrong things in my order. I then asked for a refund and told them to not even worry about my food, the server told me “none of us know how to give refunds but you can put your name and number on a piece of paper and come back in the morning and they SHOULD give you a refund”. I told them never mind I’d just take the food because I didn’t want to go through all of that and not get my money back nor the food I had paid for. Finally my to go order was given to me and it was still not what I had ordered. HORRIBLE food and even worse service!! Definitely won’t be back to this establishment.

The service, food, and atmosphere was exactly what you expect from a waffle house. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. Refilled coffee multiple times.
If you get the sausage hashbrown bowl, adding bacon to it is great. So is the side of gravy suggested by our waitress. Highly recommend it.
As always, this is probably best in the middle of the night.

The server who took our order seemed to have no idea about anything to do with the menu. The cook didn’t act like he had no clue on what he was doing. We had to correct him three different times on our order and our food was still wrong. When we asked if we could just get a refund, after correcting the cook the first time, we were told nobody there knew how to do a refund and we could come back in the morning and “they should give us our money back”. We normally go to the Waffle House located on Mt. Eden road but decided we’d give this one (on Howard Drive) a try tonight, THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!! By far the WORST experience.

Just a fun place to eat. Food is good , coffee is good plus they’ll fix your order the way you want it. I’ve never been to a Waffle House that the servers weren’t glad to see you and they keep the coffee flowing.

We’ve gone to this Waffle House since I was a baby 21 years ago. I have never been so disappointed in the food and the service. We took a break for about a year and today 9/22/24 we went back to Waffle House. First we noticed the service wasn’t great at all like it used to be, they have a bunch of new people and the food was AWFUL, the meat wasn’t cooked throughly and made both me and my PREGNANT wife sick with food poisoning, my waffle was really soggy when it showed up to the table and it was even spreading apart in the middle. I shared a photo of it. My hash browns were completely burnt and they didn’t taste anything like hash browns. We will no longer be dining in here, my recommendation is Cracker Barrel across town off the second shelbyville exit. They have great food and service and they don’t undercook their food and if there is a problem they make it right.

Only gave one star because I had to choose one!! Went here because we were staying at the motel beside it and nothing really is open late besides fast food. There was 6 of us so I know that’s a large party but we walk in at 9 pm and immediately can tell they do not want to serve us, when they finally speak to us the lady says “we don’t have any tables open guys” there’s literally 3 tables with people eating and one table was in the process of leaving which only left like 7-8 people in the whole restaurant . Now I could understand if we dragged in right before closing them dreading having to stay late but that was not the case. DEFINITELY Don’t RECOMMEND going to this place, they make you feel unwelcome walking in the door and they are completely rude for no reason at all. I was telling the guys we could sit at the counter/ bar because nobody at all was sitting in that side of the restaurant. I love Waffle House but will ABSOLUTELY NEVER go back here!!!!

Love Waffle House however it was a bit odd because the waitress even though very nice, very pretty, she was barely whispering. It was so strange. Like she didn’t want us to hear her. Reminded me of Seinfeld episode the “low talker”. Lol. It was interesting.

INCOMPETENT STAFF. Waited over TWO hours never got our food after asking multiple times. Handed out food to people who got there way after us. INSANELY RUDE STAFF AND HORRIBLE SERVICE.
