My friend and I brought our young daughters to the macaron baking class at Mille Feuille and we honestly had the best time… Chef Nicolas was amazing… so patient… so kind… and he made everything feel fun and totally doable.
The girls absolutely loved it. They were focused the whole time and walked out feeling so proud of their creations… and honestly we were pretty impressed with our own work too. The macarons looked gorgeous and tasted even better.
We’re already planning to make more at home for Christmas presents… Such a great experience for both kids and adults. Highly recommend. Here’s the final product minus a few we couldn’t resist eating

I’ve taken 2 classes here in the last 2 weeks! I bought a gift card for a macaron class for my husband’s birthday. Chef Nicholas was kind, funny, knowledgeable, and VERY patient. The macarons we made were wonderful. I feel like I could make them at home! So, when my Mom came to the city for a visit – we decided to take the croissant class. We had so much fun! Again, Chef Nicholas was wonderful. And, not only did we take home what we baked… we also took home the raw dough we laminated to make our own at home. When my Mom got back to Texas – she put her dough to use. (Pictures from the croissant class and my Mom’s creations at home are linked here.) I highly recommend the bakery for a fun-filled 2 hours of baking education. The Quiche Lorraine we brought home was fabulous also!!

The reviews did not seem to be justified at all for this place. The food is very underwhelming. Pistachio croissant had a fake food coloring which was quite a turn off. We also got the almond croissants, ham and cheese croissant and a regular croissant which were just average. The orange juice was nice. Coffee was just okay. However the hostess/ server was very nice. I am giving 3 stars just for her.

The croissant class was a lot of fun! Love the chef and the staff there. You get a bunch of croissants to take home in addition to the dough that can be frozen up to 4 weeks!

There wasn’t a great selection of deserts on the menu at the Tartinery café & bar where we went for lunch, so after we finished our delicious food there we walked around the block to the Mille-Feuille Bakery for some pastries to finish off our lunch.
We sat at the last remaining table on the pavement and enjoyed the best almond croissants ever, in the hot late summer sunshine – they were so tasty, buttery and full of almond paste, with a cross between a flaky and cakey texture
I had a cup of tea with my croissant and my wife enjoyed her usual weak, milky large latte with just one shot of coffee expertly made by our friendly server.
If I wasn’t so full I would have been tempted to also try another of the wonderful looking pastries on display.

This place is a piece of heaven. I look forward to my capuccino every day (and enjoy the ham and cheese croissant, pain au chocolat, and macarons from time to time…) The people are kind and bright and the pastries are amazing. They also offer an nyu student discount:)
