I’ve eaten barbecue many many places including Las Vegas, Memphis, North Carolina, Georgia. But this has to be the absolute best that I have eaten from any roadside joint anywhere. Highly recommended. Just unreal food. If I lived here I’d be back every week

I have driven past Hamaknockers BBQ without stopping for years now. Either, I was, pressed to meet a schedule, it wasn’t meal time, or late to get back home. Today, I wasn’t on a schedule and it was lunch time, so I stopped to check it out.
The restaurant is clean as a whistle, including the restroom. The employees are super cheerful and helpful. They seemed to truly enjoy working here.
I ordered the large brisket sandwich and it comes with a small bag of chips. The sandwich was a decent size, and smelled great. I opened the sandwich to find that quite allot of the brisket was fat, not marched far, the top slice was at least 1/3 fat. The bottom slice was heavily marbled with fat but not solid like the top slice. There may be some folks that love that pure fat, but I’m not a fan.
I removed the big hunks of fat, added some of the”Hot” BBQ sauce, and took a bite.
The brisket was cooked well, tender, moist, and flavorful. I didn’t eat the chips, but who reviews a bag of chips!
My only complaint is the large proportion of fat to meat ratio in this particular sandwich. This is BBQ and the is always variation from serving to serving. Your sandwich will likely be different. However, I can only review the sandwich that I was served. Once I removed the party I don’t like, it was a good sandwich!
I recommend Hamaknockers BBQ as a reliable place to get good BBQ. I hear that the pulled pork is great so I’ll give the pulled pork sandwich a try next time.
Don’t do as I did and wait, give Hamaknockers BBQ a try, I think you’ll be really glad you did.

First time eating here in many years and I can say it lives up to the hype. We were in town for a baseball game so we took the opportunity to stop in. The pulled pork was very flavorful and moist. The ribs melted in your mouth. The smoked wings had a great flavor. Love their sauces too. We will definitely be back next time we are craving some good BBQ.

Great BBQ spot with a fun, unique atmosphere! The meat was fantastic — we tried the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, and everything was tender and packed with flavor. My husband loved it so much he said he could eat there every day
They have four kinds of BBQ sauce — we liked the hot one best. It had a nice kick without being too spicy. For sides, we had the potato salad and cole slaw, and both were really good. Definitely a place we’ll come back to!

Phenomenal awesome food. I had the combo with brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. The brisket is so tender you can barely get it on your fork! And the flavor was amazing. Easy to miss so look out!

You can’t go wrong with their menu. The loaded baked potatoes. It’s fabulous. Brisket sandwich delicious. And please get the potato salad and baked beans. So good. It’s hard to find a place that has good meats and good sides, but this place fulfills both.

Right when you step out of your vehicle you can tell you’re at an incredible barbecue place just the smell alone will pull you into the restaurant your stomach says we have arrived. The barbecue was one of the best I have had in a long time. Wife had coleslaw which was fantastic. I am not a big coleslaw fan but theres could change my mind. Macaroni and cheese was great not sure what they do to it but a change up on the usual that seems to be the norm the beans were great and had plenty of flavor.
Atmosphere is what I have always expected at a barbecue place wooden tables, wooden seats roll of paper towels and the sauce choices in a container on the table a bit dark and nostalgic decorating.
