I came to Karma Cream after a trail walk with a friend and she suggested we stop here, and I’m so glad we did. I’ve only ever come for the ice cream before, but this time I tried the ceremonial matcha with oat milk and the Turkey Pesto Sandwich, and wow… I was genuinely impressed.
I’m not vegan by any means, but I didn’t miss the “real” turkey at all, which completely caught me by surprise. The sandwich was exactly what I was craving: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The Seitan Turkey, vegan provolone, cilantro walnut pesto, tomato, lettuce, and mayo on multigrain bread came together beautifully. The bread was soft but nicely toasted, and every bite was and satisfying.
The matcha was smooth, earthy, and delicious one of the best I’ve had in Gainesville.
Even though the place was packed, the staff was quick, kind, and on top of everything. Overall, such a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back for more than just ice cream from now on.

Decent spot with room for improvement. Karma Cream is an okay place overall, and I can see why people like it. The location is great — easy to get to, walkable, and the inside is a pleasant spot to sit, get some work done, or meet up with friends. The vibe is a strong point.
The food and ice cream are fine, though I personally find them a bit too sweet. Nothing bad, just not very balanced in flavor. As a tea drinker, the drinks are where I feel most underwhelmed. The tea tends to be over-steeped, and the chai in particular is extremely over-spiced. I could practically feel the cinnamon permeate my soul — it’s intense but still just drinkable.
It’s not a bad place, and I wouldn’t mind coming back for the atmosphere. With a few tweaks to sweetness and tea preparation, it could easily move up in rating.

BEST ICECREAM IN GAINESVILLE!
We were looking for a new dessert place to try and decided to come here. We were amazed by how good the vegan/dairy free ice cream tasted! One of our favorites is the blueberry shortcake flavor. They have new flavors by the season like apple cider donut and pumpkin caramel pie. Their baked goods are really good as well. Highly recommended!

Came in on Friday 12th for an iced coffee and a naughty treat. The iced lattes came in a glass which was really nice! Love that you have lots of vegan options which made it a great experience for us! The woman working making drinks was miserable, she didn’t acknowledge us even when we said thank you. The guy working was nice and friendly.

I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and matcha drink. Service was nice. Seating was a challenge but waited long enough for others to clear. We enjoyed it. It’s a nice place w lots of vegan tasty snacks.

It’s fine. Tried on a friend’s suggestion but kinda disappointing. They were closing early at 2p bc students aren’t in town and they didn’t have any baked goods so menu was super limited. The strawberry matcha however was phenomenal and most places really disappoint on these so thank you. Tasty but overpriced and all of it is vegan, so make sure that’s what you want!

I used to visit this place all the time primarily to study, but I don’t go as much anymore because unless I go at 8 AM, all of the seats are taken . Glad to see business booming though!
Karma Cream is in a super convenient location and has an incredible atmosphere. All of the staff are super cool and easy to chat with, but shoutout to Joe, Autumn, Gabby, Angie, & Jaylen. They’re all so awesome. The owner, Kyle, is also a pretty cool guy.
The drinks here are always pretty on-point & consistent in quality across the board, & I really appreciate that they don’t upcharge for alternative milk. Also as a non-vegetarian, I’m extremely impressed with the quality of the food here. Definitely pay this place a visit & you might just want to come back.

The vegan baked goods range from extremely good to tasting extremely vegan haha. The baristas that are nice usually make good drinks and the ones that seem haughty or like they hate you usually make bad ones. Expect to wait 5-15 minutes when things are reasonably busy. They usually play old and new indie. The atmosphere is usually chill, lots of students and it’s pretty clean. There is one barista there who is kinda funny to Black people so watch out. All in all very Gainesville.

Don’t miss the opportunity to try these desserts. Great vegan and vegetarian options. Inviting cafe atmosphere. Staff is welcoming and great with answering questions and making suggestions based on what you like. Amazing espresso made with high quality coffee beans. Within 5-10min walk of most of the restaurants. Seating is a little close, but I love this place. Highly recommend if you’re in Gainesville.

I would like to share some feedback regarding the service. The cashier with curly hair and a septum ring did not greet me and seemed somewhat disengaged, which made the interaction feel a bit unwelcoming. I believe that a warm greeting and a more friendly approach when assisting guests would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.
