My family and I recently wanted to find an ice cream treat that was outside of our usual. We drove to Dippy’s and it was a great experience! Old, nostalgic style and decor, plenty of outdoor/covered seating, and wide selections to choose from. I wasn’t able to get pics of all their entire menu. We sat in front of the building and away from where the majority of their seating was. The ice cream was delicious, and mine was HUGE!
Definitely a place we’ll be returning to!

Took a trip out to Dippy’s, we got some great ice cream. Always see a line here but we came later in the night so we walked right in and out. The girl was nice and knew alot about ice cream. Nice to know we have such a nice ice cream shop in town like this.

This ice cream place is a hidden gem. We was in the area and googled ice cream and this place popped up. This was one of the best searches we ever did. The ice cream is delicious and the portions are very large for your money. They give you plenty of ice cream for the money. The staff is nice and very helpful. They get your order and get everything you want quickly. I recommend this place. Keep up the great service.

Great selection of ice cream flavors and the homemade waffle cone tasted super fresh! Very different tasting than the packaged cones. They basically have it all, ice cream, sundaes, and savory treats like hot dogs and pretzels. Prices are pretty comparable to my last ice cream place which makes this place super desirable. Also you can customize your banana splits with different flavors and toppings. Only issue might be mosquitos when sitting in the covered area so just be aware. Will definitely be back!

Hello Dippy’s Custard & Ice Cream,
I have been coming to Dippy’s Custard & Ice Cream for years and often bring my grandchildren, as it is their favorite place right down the street from MeMaw and PePaws house.
I have never had negative words for this place, but after my experience I had with one of the workers, I am afraid to say I will be rethinking about stepping foot back in there. The workers have always been so friendly and I have gotten helped by so many benevolent young girls and boys.
However, one in particular was not very kind. My husband and I went on Sunday 8/10 around 1pm. The worker was a female with blonde colored hair and it was curly with her hair tied back. As soon as we came to the window, she did not greet us friendly and even rushed us as we were still choosing our ice cream flavors. She seemed very bothered by us being there. She made us feel very uncomfortable, was very short with us and even gave nasty looks to us when we were trying to figure out what toppings we wanted. In all my years coming here, I have never been given such disrespect. I pray the manager can pinpoint who this young lady was and have a serious talk to her about how she treats their customers. I am heartbroken, as this was our favorite place.

I have to rate dippys 5 stars purely on nostalgia. Im too grown now to think they have magic ice cream at competitive pricing. But its starting to become an outing to bring the family for a quick frozen dessert treat. Old man grumbling aside, they have it all here. Workers are friendly and competent. You better leave a tip and not just the 37 cents you just got handed as change! Yah you, do the right thing! The train is such a special treat for the kids. They love it. Go here and enjoy making memories. I have them from my own childhood!

I have been a happy dippys customer for years now. But tonight was disappointing. First of all a girl was sweeping and the other two were wiping stuff. No one washed their hands when serving me or the other customers taht were served at the same times as me. The girl who prepared my order did use a napkin though. Not much better. You can see how the chocolate chips on the chipwiches were skimped on. Then my usual medium waffle cone was not prepared as usual and was skimped on as well. The icecream was not even touching the sides of the inside of my cone. I pay good money to bring my family to dippys. I don’t know if it is because the usual staff I am used to was not there. But this is not what I expect from the best ice-cream place in the area that I know. Please bring back the efficiency and quality we love!
