The safe was wonderful here. They worked quickly to accommodate my large party. The atmosphere was intimate and upscale. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable allowing ample time for us to make our orders.
The food was quite delicious. I am looking forward to my next visit to try some more of the wonderful dishes they serve.

North Italia in Birmingham surprised me in the best way. You walk in expecting a trendy Italian chain vibe, and sure, it’s stylish and polished, but the food actually backs it up. The atmosphere hits that sweet spot between date night nice and casually comfortable. Noise level? Enough to feel lively, not enough to make you yell your order like you’re at a airport tarmac.

The Food:
The prosciutto bruschetta was the star of the starters—perfectly presented with asparagus and none of the rubbery regret that sometimes comes with it. The pizzas taste fresh, like someone in the kitchen actually cares. Thin crust, blistered edges, and toppings that don’t look like they were just thrown on as an afterthought. It’s not “Naples-authentic,” but it is “I’d absolutely order this again” delicious.

Cocktails are pricey but balanced, not sugar bombs, and the wine list plays well with everything on the menu. Servers know their stuff, which is always a plus when you’re indecisive and hungry. Like me erry day. Our server checked in just enough to make sure we were happy, stayed chill when we needed a minute, and gave solid recommendations that actually landed.

North Italia is one of those rare places that looks good, tastes good, and doesn’t make you feel like you’re paying for the décor more than the meal. If you’re in Bham and craving Italian that feels elevated but not pretentious, this is the spot.

Would I go again? Already planning it.

The food is absolutely amazing!! I got the salmon and loved it. Drinks were creative and well balanced as well. My group got a few appetizers and sides the calamari, brussel sprouts and meatballs were all fantastic.
Atmosphere is cozy but very loud and busy which can result in slower service
Id definitely go back but maybe on a weeknight a little earlier so it’s a little less busy.

This was really great, they had activities going on at the summit tonight for the fall season and they had a lot of kids stuff going on out in the parking lot, it was perfect because I saw the North and had to eat there, it was absolutely amazing the chicken parmesan was to die for. The picture is not only include the north but it also includes the festivities outside.

Chicken parmesan was great! The restaurant was crowded there was a wait but I sat at the bar!
This is the best Italian food I think I’ve had!

Food was tasty but soooooooo overpriced for the portion served I was appalled!!! I was hungry by the time I made it home. I will likely NEVER eat there again; maybe, but only if I’m dining with someone who wants to throw away $100

We absolutely loved this place! Definitely some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I had the braised short ribs lasagna bianca, and it was simply amazing. The meat was incredibly tender with an amazing flavor, and the bechamel sauce was fantastic. We also loved the white truffle garlic bread, and the tortellini.

I had a fantastic dinner experience at North Italia! We had a 6:15 reservation and were seated right away. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our server, David, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. We started with the calamari and garlic bread—both were absolutely delicious. I had the ricotta cavatelli for my entree, and it was phenomenal. Great food, impeccable vibes, and quick, friendly service. Can’t wait to come back!

Really enjoyed lunch here. The service was great and the food was fantastic! The food is authentic Italian. We’ve been to Italy many times and for a big restaurant, you can’t get any closer. The pizza dough, burrata and drinks are standouts. I love the grapefruit gin and tonic. And if you’re craving the whole Italian experience, get an aperol spritz! Caio!

We absolutely love North! We have been twice now.

I am not one to go out of my way commenting on how great a restaurant looks, but I absolutely loved everything about the inside of this restaurant. It reminded me of dining in New York City.

We started with the white truffle garlic bread. Which we had last time as well. Equally as amazing as the first time we had it. Honestly it’s the best thing there!!!

I ordered a Margherita pizza and my husband had spicy rigatoni vodka pasta the first time. Both were delicious!! The second time I ordered the pizza again and my husband got lasagna. Mine was fabulous yet again and his was definitely not normal lasagna and the waitress even warned him when he was ordering, he said it was OK but really is more a fan of traditional lasagna..
Seriously. absolutely fantastic both times.. we have found our new favorite place to eat.

10 out of 10 I would Recommend! If you’re wanting some stellar Italian food, you MUST stop here. Everything from appetizers to the hand made pasta was incredible. Beautifully decorated but simple. Spacious dining areas feel intimate for an appealing dining experience. Recommended!
