When I say flavor… this place blew us out of the water.
The Meze burger: huge, incredible flavors, amazing secret sauce. American cheese eoth gyro meat is a new way to experience a burger.
Kuzu sliders: the flavor of the lamb burger continues to peak out with every bite, perfectly complimented by the feta, tzatziki and onion.
The appetizer platter, the patlican is probably the most delicious way I have ever tasted eggplant prepared. The tzatziki was delightful, middle eastern in my experience has a tendency to lean heavier on the mint, this was perfect. Everything was wonderful.
The pistachio baklava was not overly sweet. The syrup and texture were spot on. A balance of sticky syrup, crunchy pistachios and crispy pastry. I can’t want to come back to try the rest of the menu!

Sooooo good! The Turkish meatballs dish was amazing, as was the Hummas, and the falafels appetizers! Please don’t pass up the Baklava Cheesecake. The owner is from Turkey so it’s very authentic. Highly recommend!!! We will come back soon! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ The owner Sengul was so helpful and awesome!

Red Meze blew me away! The chicken kabob and wings were insanely delicious, the hummus and warm pita were cravable, and every bite felt like a new adventure in flavor. Absolutely amazing for trying new foods in the area. Recommend 100 million%!

This place was amazing. I travel a lot and always look for local places with unusual cuisines. A mediterranean place with a menu that goes beyond the typical gyros, baba, pita, falafel? Yes please! The decor is simple and tasteful. Pillows on benches, an open and inviting atmosphere, ceramics on the walls.
Katie recommended the Yaprak et. It came with cucumber and tomato salad, and it was an appropriate sized portion: not too filling, and not so small you felt like you needed another dish to satisfy. Lemonade as my drink, and I ordered a coffee to warm me up before hitting the street again.
Im telling you all. If youve never been, you have got to go. I envy the locals that can come here frequently. I told Katie Id return, but I really dont know when that would be. Ill be sire to include Johnson City in my tracels if I can, and when I do, Im definitely coming back and trying another Turkish wonder.

BEST MED FOOD IN JC!!!!! The iskender kabob is my personal favorite. The meat was tender and fatty while the yogurt and tomato created a great balance of acidic and creamy! Very deliciousa if i must say so myself. Def comin back if in town

Great atmosphere, seated quickly and they have a great staff. Had the lamb gyro, it was huge and relatively inexpensive. The taziki sauce was on point. Would recommend.

This place is incredible! A Turkish joint this authentic in Johnson City is really shocking. Some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve eaten. They do great service and you can tell they really care about what they’re doing. Great prices for the quality of food.

Yum for days. Great food is hard to find. Finding it wrapped in warm welcome by the owner and great service by the staff is much harder to find. Red Meze is a delicious stop for any traveler or local. We enjoyed our time there immensely from the Turkish coffee to the lovely variety of offerings on the menu. The pictures tell the story. Everything was excellent.
