There is little street parking, and you will probably have to park in the back. It is paid parking ($1.75 an hour) we got 2 meals and ceviche for $51 total. It came out warm and quick. Presentation was well, the place was clean and the atmosphere was nice. The food as a whole was okay but very happy that Detroit has a good representation of Peruvian food nearby. Worth a try after seeing it online but probably won’t be back for a little while.

5/5 Culantro is the perfect spot for a casual meal. The food was simple yet delicious and offered a ton of nutrition. Between the plantains and my rice bowl, I left feeling completely satisfied. The staff were kind and provided excellent recommendations. Please consider creating a version of the empanadas without olives.

We took a chance on this Peruvian restaurant for a Sunday lunch. It did not disappoint.
Service was quick and friendly.
The food was very fresh and tasty. The whole menu was very fairly priced.
We will be back to try more on the menu.

I absolutely loved the food and the service was incredible. I was helped by a girl named Ela from Colombia, and she was wonderful. It was my first time trying Peruvian food and it was an amazing experience.
She was incredible and by the way, very beautiful! 🙂 I will definitely be coming back. Amazing restaurant!

Other than Salchipapa for $11, for some fries and one sausage cut in a thousand pieces (doesn’t make it more)… maybe with two sausages it’s closer to be fair.
Arroz Chaufa was good, ají de gallina was very good , the menu in the wall it’s really cool. The music was good too (learn some Spanish to appreciate). If we happen to be close we’ll come back.
Inka Kola brought some memories back from our time in Peru.
I really wanted to try “tres leche” but I lived in Puerto Rico before and it’s everywhere between 2.50 and 5. $8 it’s way too expensive.
No free parking.

Had a great experience at Culantro. I ordered the #7 and it was excellent. The aji amarillo sauce was a dazzling first experience. The man who helped our group was incredibly positive and energetic and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Food came out very fast which was perfect for our evening out. Great flavors, friendly service, and a fun vibe. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

I love this place so much, I eat here a ton. Mostly take out. So good and healthy. Some of their dishes I find too salty. My go-tos: Culantro bowl and Aji Gallina. Plus the maduros fritos. Oh the empanadas are good too.

Fast and friendly service plus delicious food. The passion fruit juice is one of my favorite things here. There is additional parking around back.

Very impressed! Roasted chicken was juicy and flavorful, AMAZING with the chimichurri. Lomo saltado was excellent, black beans and plantains as well. Did not try myself but my friends did try both vegan dishes and were very happy. All around a great meal!

We have been wanting to try this place for a while now and are happy that we did. We did a pickup order and it went smoothly and the order was ready on time. Overall, the Tacu Lomo was okay and the steak bites were yummy but there wasn’t a lot of them. The entree consisted of mainly the rice and beans which had good flavor but was taking up the entire meal. There were no yellow peppers as stated on the menu description but the green onion and tomatoes were cooked nicely.
