An old fashion summer eatery that’s a local legend. Always excellent food. Incredible homemade ice cream. Wonderful staff and endless options for lunch. Lots of places to sit outside near a creek, meet local patrons, and pet friendly. A must stop on a summer evening in Adamstown, PA.

Now! Food- got a “sloppy joe” and fries. Both priced very reasonably [$3.50? For hamburger bbq…or whatever they called it]. AND! FRIES- CRISPY and nicely salted.
I finished up [2 hours later- came back] with a hot fudge sunday [4.50 ish] yum.
Would 100% recommend you stop….go out of your way.

Boehringer’s Drive-In has that perfect nostalgic charm and has been around for decades. Even when it’s busy, you can usually find parking and an outdoor table. The chili dog and fries (which taste fresh, not frozen) were very good, and the local potato chips are a nice touch.
They’ve got some really good root beer and birch beer, plus a solid ice cream selection—dense, flavorful, and not melty. The retro food and drink trays add to the experience, and the nearby stream with ducks gives it a fun, relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite ice-cream spot!. The ice creams are delicious and super creamy. This is like, my 3rd time here. The atmosphere is peaceful where you can see ducks swimming at a nice little stream behind the business. There are parking and tables outside where you can enjoy your burger, fries, sandwiches or ice-cream in peace. The workers are nice and patient. I even take pics of trucks here!

I love this place. Every time I went to the state, I will go there. If you have a chance come and stop by. They opened only in spring and summer. Now accepted credit card. Burger, hotdog, fries and ice cream also milk shake : all good food for your memories and their outdoor seat beside the canal, really love it.

Wonderful roadside stop just off Rt. 222 Adamstown PA. Large variety of ice cream flavors & creations along with the “grill” menu fit the bill to satisfy hungry people on the go or just out enjoying the day. Family owned and operated, the staff is a young crew that is very pleasant, works hard to accommodate customers and is happy to serve. (Please tip as many are working their way through school). The building and parking lot are spotless. The grounds, with quaint picnic tables, flowers blooming and a spectacular brook that runs along side the property are the cherry on top! (Too cool watching the duck families while devouring my Butterscotch Sundae!) Enjoy. Spread the word not Covid-19! (Masks were worn following protocol the day I visited.)

Today, i got 2 cheeseburgers, fries, and a rootbeer float. The fries and rootbeer float were excellent. The burger was cooked too long, but the fresh vegetables on it made it better. You can’t beat the prices at this place. I’ll definitely be back.

This is a real gem of a place. The old-fashioned Drive-in restaurant has that perfect nostalgic charm and has been around for decades. Even when it’s busy, you can usually find parking and an outdoor table to sit at. it is next to a creek where you can play and watch the ducks. The outdoor picnic area is clean and very comfortable. The burgers and ice cream are simple but very good. One of the best places I stopped at in the area.
