Our party consisted of four adults and two toddlers. From the start, service was extremely slow. The wait for a third beer refill was so long that I eventually had to walk to the bar to request it myself. It then took approximately 20 minutes for our food order to be taken, followed by nearly an hour before the food arrived.
When the meals finally came out, most of the food was only warm and nearly cold. Two of the side dishes from different plates were burned. More concerning, I found a hair in my toddler’s quesadilla and four feathers in a wing from another plate. This is completely unacceptable, especially when serving children.
Our waitress was not rude, but her attitude felt dismissive and unprofessional, which only added to the poor experience.
We chose your restaurant expecting quality food and service, especially while dining with toddlers. Unfortunately, this visit fell far below those expectations. I hope management will review this matter seriously and take steps to ensure this does not happen to other families.
Huge menu with enough variety to satisfy just about anyone with some sort of sandwich!
I ordered take out and when I got there I was surprised to be given a 20 min time for my food when it was dead in there for tables and almost 9pm. So my food was soggy and not that warm. Whatever I’ll air fry it when I get home. My crispy fries are on a different level than most people. I ordered a mushroom & swiss burger with an appetizer of fried mushrooms. I got home and air fried my food. I found something weird colored on my mushrooms. It was blue. Mmm??? So I took a picture and peeled it off my mushrooms to look closer. It was part of the rubber gloves. Ewww
I call up the restaurant to tell them about this. The girl on the phone had a long pause and asked “What do you want me to do about it?” I asked “Well what can you do.” She says “Well the kitchen is closed so that’s not an option.” I said “Okay then what can you do about this.” She says “Well that’s why I asked what do you want me to do about it.” She repeated the kitchen was closed and said I could get them tomorrow sometime, but not tonight. And that’s probably not when I want them. I said “You are correct I wanted them tonight.” “Can you just give me a refund then?” She said yeah.
Now I used to work in that line of business. There are certain words and phrases you don’t say. Not only was I upset she asked me that question like I shouldn’t be complaining, but I was upset she didn’t sound caring. Now had she said, “I’m so sorry that you experienced this, but at this time we can’t remake any food due to the kitchen being closed. I can refund your money or you can come in tomorrow and we will remake the mushrooms for you, I would have not only felt that the company cared about me, but that this was going to be addressed with the cook. When gloves start having a tear to where your finger is showing, you know it. You change them. If you didn’t know, you would feel it once you started sticking your fingers in the batter and feeling the batter on your skin. You don’t let it get worse to where someone finds rubber gloves in their food.
Now based off this experience alone, I would have given 1 star across the board. But because eating in is a different experience, I just dropped my stars down. I am thankful I was given a refund. I’m disappointed I couldn’t eat my appetizer. I now don’t trust rubber wasn’t stuck in more breading with the bunches of mushrooms stuck together.
I’m not going to say don’t go there. I will say keep an eye out on your food regardless. Cooks should know better. Young people should be taught how to take issues when they call up the business. I wasn’t just a complaint. I have rubber fried in my food. That’s an issue. Just like when you find hair in your food. You never say what do you want me to do about it. I get it’s a bar that serves food. That doesn’t mean it should be a less professional place.
