We came out to kick off my birthday weekend and our server, Charlotte Grace made it extra special. From sake selections, to playing roll roulette with us and choosing options for us they thought we would enjoy, it was a fantastic night. The Hama Chili sashimi appitizer, seared albacore, a dragon roll that breathes fire – everything was great. The atmosphere was great with a fantastic 90’s alternative playlist. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Charlotte Grace for making our night so special.

Had dinner at Moira Sushi in downtown Phoenix and I’m so glad we went. The ambience was super chill but stylish, perfect for a date night. The service was friendly and quick, and they made us feel really welcome. The sushi? So fresh and flavorful. The spicy tuna roll and baked lobster roll were definitely the standouts. Great spot for good vibes and even better sushi can’t wait to go back!

Moira has been our go to sushi place for 15 years and we have never been disappointed; until now. This was hands down the worst meal we’ve ever had at Moira. The crackling calamari, always our starter, used to be a bowl filled with tender, flavorful calamari tossed with crisp, fresh vegetables. This time it was dry, tasteless and plopped on a tiny plate with a few sliced carrots, cabbage and two slivers of red pepper. The portion was small, void of any mushrooms and overpriced. The Zuwai was dry and tasteless with a texture that gave the impression it was pre-made a few days earlier. It was supposed to be made with asparagus but they didn’t have any so we substituted cucumber. They were also out of tea which left few options for those who don’t drink alcohol or soda. Nothing tasted fresh, including the wasabi which had zero heat and offered nothing. The only decent item we had was the tuna and yellowtail sashimi. Both were delicious. Unfortunately that was not enough to salvage this experience or justify the price of $75 per person with no cocktails.

we came In on February 7 excited to try some good sushi after reading the reviews. we got the chefs special , hand rolls , a bunch of appetizers and miso Soup . The yellow tail tastes so fishy which I was so confused about , the rice was super sweet something I hate in my sushi , the handroll had so much rice it made me gag . This is definitely not authentic sushi .i was so disappointed ☹️ but the white tuna is delicious .

We came if I’m a very hot day. It was so cool and we sat at the bar right away. I got a sea weed salad and it was so good. It was perfectly cold and the sea weed salad was so good my wife who hates sea weed salad wouldn’t stop eating mine so I got another one . Love the vibe and the music definitely worth stopping by on a hot phx evening.
The sushi was amazing as well. It was so good we ate it before I could snap a flic.

Atmosphere was ok, cool place
Food was ok but don’t match the reviews.
Food Service was fast.
Table Service was horrible. Waitress was gossiping, sitting down, not paying attention to her station. We had to ask for everything including silverware. Plates were dirty. Nice and friendly but just not cut out for the service industry.
They had two different types of genres playing at the same time (one in the kitchen & one at the bar).
Happy hour has a variety of options to choose from.

Good sushi spot with great presentation of the food. The miso wasn’t that good along with their cucumber salad but, we got the Tiger ( a bit big for one bite), Vegas, Rising Sun, and one I can’t remember the name rolls and they were good. Also the water they give you was the worst water I’ve tasted from a restaurant in a while it wasn’t cold and didn’t have ice. Our server was decent but not terrible because we were at the bar. I would recommend checking this place out because the sushi was good, creative, and the atmosphere was welcoming.

The sushi is okay, but the servers were pretty bad. They rarely came by to check in or offer any other service, orders were forgotten or “not heard”. Group tipping, automatic to groups of 8 or more was added automatically to my group of 5. They just could have done so much more to be a better host. The sushi was fine, specialty roles are beautiful and carry a creative style. The poke bowl was good, but it’s made from frozen fish.

Hostess was rude when I asked about seating for one person. Couldn’t look me in the eye and gestures me to the bar, saying the bar is the ONLY place a single person can sit at 12:45 am for food. It wasn’t the policy it was the poor attitude and lack of congeniality from hostess. Server was fine. Get ya girl together. 12:45 AM on Dec 27 2025.
