..the food is outstanding..it’s seafood so it’s not cheap BUT their prices a certainly less than most places..

The oysters are very good
The dainties..that was a first ..never even heard of them… now I feel cheated all these years.. delicious…the Alfredo was great..the scallops were tender..everything perfectly prepared..side veg was delicious too.

Have been coming here since it opened. Nice family owned business. Fish Fry is great on Friday, and the clams are always fresh. Tonight, I kept is simple and light with a prime rib sandwich. Very good!

We went to Boston Hotel for dinner and unfortunately left within 10 minutes.

We didn’t know it was cash only until we were already inside and saw a sign. That would’ve been helpful to know ahead of time. They do have an ATM on-site with a $1.75 fee, which is reasonable, so we were willing to make it work.

After being seated, we found out they handwrite their checks and were told they couldn’t provide separate receipts. In 2026, handwritten checks are surprising on their own, but being told they couldn’t simply write two separate ones felt unnecessarily inflexible.

The bartender was fine, but our server seemed uninterested and unwilling to accommodate basic requests. On top of that, the table was sticky and the bathroom was dirty, which didn’t leave a great impression.

Between the cleanliness issues, the lack of clear communication about being cash-only, and the unwillingness to split a check, we decided not to stay. It was disappointing because we were ready to have dinner, but the overall experience just didn’t feel worth it

Went for the fish fry, very good, not greasy at all. Service was excellent. Decor could use updating. Parking was tight but bc of snow mounds. BUT, this place is CASH ONLY, going have to change soon as we are changing to a cashless society.

What a great place for seafood. We’ve gone here for years. The food is always prepared perfectly and piping hot. The waitresses are so friendly and helpful. It’s just wonderful. If you’re even thinking about going here, DO IT!! You not only won’t be disappointed but I know you’ll be back time and again. Bring your friends and family. I’m sure they will thank you.

Boston Hotel Steak and Crab: A Solid Main Dish, but Lacking Finesse
We recently dined at Boston Hotel Steak and Crab and tried their NY Strip. The steak was, without a doubt, the highlight of the meal. Tender, perfectly cooked to our order, and bursting with flavor, it showcased the quality and expertise one expects from a steakhouse. The main course did not disappoint.
However, the accompanying sides fell short of expectations. While they were adequate, they lacked creativity and seasoning, failing to add anything memorable to the plate. For a meal centered around a premium steak, the sides should complement and elevate the dish, but here they felt uninspired.
The roll, another small but significant detail, was also disappointing. Not only was it not homemade, but it wasn’t even served warm, which would have made a world of difference. Fresh, warm bread can set the tone for the meal, and its absence was noticeable.
Service-wise, we had no complaints, but it wasn’t particularly noteworthy either. The staff was polite and efficient, but there were no standout moments to make the experience feel more special or personalized.
In summary, Boston Hotel Steak and Crab excels in delivering a well-prepared steak but misses the mark on the supporting elements. For a restaurant of this caliber, attention to detail—particularly with sides, bread, and service—could transform the meal into a truly exceptional experience.

My wife and I were out with our 8 month old and decided to stop in and check it out. Don’t look like much outside but the inside was in good shape. We split the broiled seafood platter. The seafood was good. It’s nothing like if you were on the ocean and went to dinner but it was decent for it being in Buffalo. Our service was great and we didn’t wait long for our food and got a table right away. Seafood is drowning in bowls of melted butter so we had napkins next to us in order to dab most of it off. If you don’t I believe you would get home and have heartburn lol. They have to do something with the fruit flies and the black flies it was borderline gross how many we saw and shooed away. We probably won’t return. Looking through the list there are a ton of great reviews but sadly today wasn’t something that was worthy of that.

Oysters, clams, scallops…oh my! This was our first visit to the Boston Hotel and we were thoroughly impressed! The seafood was beyond fresh and amazing. I recommend the seafood platter to try some of everything! The scallops were the number one choice for all of us. Definitely recommend the raw oysters if you are into that …very fresh and perfectly prepared. The steamed clams and stuffed banana peppers were also a hit. Some of my family had the NY Strip and one had the prime rib – both were tender and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately they ran out of snow crab legs…but just gives us a reason to visit again! One tip…it is a cash only restaurant but they do have an ATM there.

We took my father tonight for his 80th birthday. Our waitress was by far the worst I’ve ever delt with in my life! Gave the wrong appetizers to each two us at the table. Didn’t bring certain food to be ordered and when we asked her about it she was defensive and argued with us. I got the 12 oz prime rib done medium and it came out rare and the serrated knife they gave me wasn’t enough to saw through it. I’ve traveled all over and this is by far the worst dining experience and meal I’ve ever had!

We been here before and had great food. But this time was horrible. The clams casino were slimy, our steak was very tough. It was us and our friends Christmas outing and we were very dissatisfied.
