The Manager and the hole crew especially Valerie was great and friendly, she was on top of everything like cleaning tables, offering extra plates, excellent customer service also the Manager was walking around offering extra service or if needed anything . My boss and I visited during our lunch break near the end of “bunch of lunch” hours. Valerie provided excellent customer service and even offered us extra plates and kept checking to see if we needed anything else before starting their clean-up process. The food was excellent and they even had ribs which were delicious! They also did an excellent job at clean up, everything was shiny and sparkling clean. Thanks #valerie for being an awesome host, thanks for letting me reminisce down memory lane when I used to work there!!! It’s been many years since then, the layout has changed and been remodeled. It’s very clean and organized. Food is excellent and everything looks good, great job team!!!

We came to celebrate my son’s 3rd birthday, and the experience was amazing. The staff was incredible and the food came out super fast! They really went out of their way to help us celebrate. Everyone was quick, attentive, and so helpful, and the assistant manager was a huge help. They kept checking in on us to make sure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed.
10/10 would recommend — we’d absolutely celebrate here again! Give this team a raise and a big thank-you for all their hard work. We truly appreciated it!

We went on a Tuesday afternoon and there were no customers but us so, it was nice to have the whole place to ourselves. The pizza was very good but overall the food was a bit pricey.

Shakeys El Monte is the best! My teenage kids and I drove from Chino just for lunch lunch bunch.. the food was continuously filles up and everything looked clean abd tasty.

Our class recently dined in at Shakey’s Pizza, and we had such a great time! The food came out hot, fresh, and delicious — the pizza was perfectly cheesy, and the mojos were everyone’s favorite.
A special shoutout to Valerie, our server, who made the whole experience even better. She was super friendly, patient with our large group, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. Her positive attitude and quick service really stood out.

As a native resident of El Monte, times have changed. Old staple restaurants and entertainment shutting down for a so called “better future”. But some places have survived this new age. This Shakey’s restaurant isn’t just some measly chain, it’s childhood.
I can remember my younger self’s face plastered to the window as I saw the sign standing tall. My eyes would widen with excitement and look towards my siblings with the same looks. Everytime my father pulled pulled into the parking lot, we’d cheer with glee. But what child doesn’t love the smell of fresh pizza, straight from the oven?
It’s the adult who appreciates the memories. As time has moved on, people have passed, this Shakey’s still stands tall. Loving employees with smiles on their faces, still greeting us with glee. Things really have stayed the same.
There truly are few places that can bring back genuine memories, this being one of the few. Every time I stop by here, I make new ones.

My family and I went to Shakey’s here in El Monte for take out. Going in was packed which is a great thing they took our order fast the cashier was super nice which I forgot to get her name. I thought we were going to have to wait a long time for the food to come out but it only took about 20 minutes if anything. Thank you to Maria and Valerie for the great service plus we got a free pizza. Thank you so much keep up the great work
