As someone who travels often and pays attention to places that make people feel welcome, House of India in St. Louis, Missouri truly impressed me. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt comfortable, clean, and inviting, the kind of place where you can relax and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.

The food was excellent. I ordered the chicken korma, and it was absolutely delicious, creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right level of spice. You can tell it’s made fresh and with care. The naan came out warm, soft, and fresh, and paired perfectly with the korma. Every part of the meal felt satisfying and authentic.

What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed while still giving us space to enjoy the experience. That level of hospitality always makes a difference.

The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions, which makes this a great spot whether you’re a local or just visiting St. Louis.

If you’re looking for a reliable Indian restaurant in St. Louis with great food, welcoming service, and a comfortable atmosphere, I highly recommend House of India. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in town.

Not real indian food.

I was really looking forward to some authentic Indian flavors, but unfortunately this didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The dishes felt more adapted to a general palate than reflective of traditional Indian cooking—spices were muted, some classic techniques seemed missing, and a few items tasted like they leaned on pre-made bases.
Service was friendly but food missed the taste.

I ordered Door Dash from “House of India”. I ordered Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan and for dessert Gulab Jamun.
The food was flavorful and fresh.
I enjoyed my meal. The surprise treat for me was the Gulab Jamun. It was my first time trying it and I found it to be delicious.
The next time, I definitely plan to get the “dine in” experience.
Fresh tasty treat! Also, my take-out order was a large portion for sure!

The service by the staff was absolutely amazing, they had very quick seating, and a nice, welcoming atmosphere. The food came out fresh and piping hot. The chicken (of the chicken tikka) was dry and a bit tough as if it was overcooked. I wished a few more pieces of chicken came in the dish but I’m used to the serving size. I would try again to see if the dryness was a one-off. The sauce was flavorful. If you love authentic indian dishes made from scratch you’ll enjoy this place!

I recently hosted two events at my home catered by House of India, and they were exceptional in every respect. The food was outstanding—each dish was rich in flavor and thoughtfully paired with the perfect accompaniments, as recommended by the owners, Satish and Neelam.

From menu planning to presentation and serving guidance, the entire team worked closely with us to ensure a seamless and truly memorable experience for our guests. Highlights included live preparation of hot chicken kebabs in our backyard, freshly made naan and other breads, and a special winter delicacy, sarson ka saag, served with traditional pickles and homemade-style butter.

Several other dishes also stood out and left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

Thank you to the House of India team for delivering an exceptional culinary experience.

We love eating at House of India, but this time we ordered catering for a larger group (about 20 people). Everything went incredibly smoothly. The food arrived right on time, piping hot, and there was more than enough for everyone. It was packaged so well that it was still hot 40 minutes later when we finally sat down to eat. Our guests absolutely loved it. The pricing was very reasonable. We were happy to have HOI cater our gathering. Highly recommend!

Best restaurant I’ve found in recent years! Everything on the menu is delicious, my favorite being the Tikki Kabab Masala and an order of Garlic Naan. The service is also phenomenal! Every time I go, I’m greeted and given customary water. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a calming atmosphere, with nice music and dim lighting. Highly recommend for anyone, whether you’ve had Indian food or not!

House of India is owned by a leader in the restaurant industry. A great cook and teacher. A great leader to the Indian style restaurant business. The dining room is run by the finest group of servers, hosts and hostess. The most friendly, relaxed and fun atmosphere you’d want to experience! The menu is extensive with delicious meals that will have you asking for more time to decide. I want this but wow, I want that too. Don’t forget the wonderful drinks and deserts. With a smile, you will say “Absolutely Marvelous” when asked “How was Everything”? Stephen
