I was told the lunch special smothered burrito was the go-to! They were right!!
First, you’ll start with homemade tortilla chips and salsa. The red salsa was unique but very rich. It tasted a bit creamy, but I loved it! Then my food came out as it also included a side of beans and rice. The rice was flavorful and NOT dry as other places I’ve been to.
The beans were a perfect blend of chunks and creamy smooth textures. And the burrito…. it was filling, but oh so goooood. The smothered has chunks of pork I believe, but I’ll definitely be back!!!!!

I didn’t even know this cute place was in my neighborhood! Its so homey in here, and absolutely spotless. You get to go in and sit wherever you like, and the service was fantastic and friendly. The food was great and it came out hot and fresh. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!

I really used to love coming to Chubby’s but the last two times I have come here there are inedible pieces of chiles that I have to keeping taking out of my mouth when I eat. I literally don’t even get through half and gave up cause every bite I had inedible pieces of chiles that I had to keep spitting out. I can’t believe this. I don’t think I will be returning. Also, the menu prices and the price they charge you is not consistent. I should have paid a couple dollars less according to their menu than I did. Which whatever no big deal but doing it to hundreds of customers adds up I’m sure. Also $1.50 to add a few diced onions to the top of my meal? Wild. I should chop my own at home… just really disappointed in the quality and treatment of customers after long loyalty for 20 years to them.

I love the food here and the staff are always friendly and it’s in a nice cozy part of town kinda tucked away behind a Mexican outlet type mall. i Usually get the smothered burritos and Carmel fried ice cream are my top picks. My other go to is the mexi fries.6iu. Ant go wrong with those but that brings me to my only complaint which isn’t really a complaint, more just me being nit picky but I wish they still offered fry sauce kike they used to but other then that I give a 4.9 stars ….could been 5 but the fry sauce man , bring back the fry sauce!

We are from out of town and decided to eat here. I ordered the carne asada. Was cooked correctly but was full of gristle and had no seasoning on it. The flour tortillas were very thick, and could not be rolled as they broke. The chips were awful, mostly very dark and poor tasting, like they were old. My son ordered a fajita dish, the meat was very hard, he didn’t eat it. My wife had a burrito and liked it.
They need to take a hard look at their food quality.
