Overall it was a great experience going here for the first time. The Key Lime concrete tasted just like a pie and was nice and thick. The cheese curds are sincerely some of the best I’ve had, and better than Culver’s in my opinion. The burger was great. My wife got some fries, and they were nice and seasoned: definitely better than Steak N Shake to me. The music wasn’t great and didn’t fit the vibe of the restaurant, so that’s one thing I’d change; but I’d for sure return.

First time trying Freddy’s for both of us. We each had burgers-jalapeño and bacon cheddar, onion rings, and a Freddy’s frost lemon. The frost lacked any lemon flavoring, but when I brought it to the employees attention they re-made it and the flavor was spot on. Initial service at time of ordering was less than pleasant and barely cordial. The first face of the store should be pleasant and welcoming, that was not the case with the first staff we encountered. The food quality was decent-not the best I’ve ever had not the worst. It was worth trying. It’s like a happy little merge of Steak ‘n Shake and Culver’s.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Champaign is fantastic! The burgers are incredibly flavorful, with fresh ingredients that look almost as good as the advertisement photos. The buns are not overly large but perfectly soft. Definitely a great spot for a quality and satisfying fast-food experience!

The people are nice, but the food was not. The burgers were mostly salt and mustard with a touch of beef. Curds were hard like super crunchy hard, and the rings had a weird flavor (not sure how to explain that one). I can’t say I’ve ever had a good food experience there.

soggy burger, soggy tots, out of the two drinks I ordered, 2 napkins! i’m not one to complain on food EVER as i’ve worked in the food industry for every job I’ve had. I didn’t even eat my food. $30 for bad food is ridiculous on top of traveling 10 hours!

First, if it’s fall and they have the pumpkin pie concrete – get it. We went for an early supper on a Sunday afternoon and ordered online for pickup. Everything was made on time and with modifications as requested. Fantastic hot dog. Great burger and patty melt. Great custard. Burgers are thin (that’s the beauty of them) so get one more patty than you usually do.

Didn’t actually go inside because it was already closed at 8:00 p.m. even though Google maps says that it’s supposed to close at 9:00 p.m.
they need to get that fixed on Google maps especially for folks driving a long way come to Freddy’s.

I walked into Freddy’s for the first time with my son Patrick in December…there were no Christmas decorations but it felt like Christmas when we walked in…steakburber is phenomenal and priced right…. ❤️ We’ll be back!
