I haven’t had Jamaican food often and my husband wanted to bring me to celebrate his licensure. I was not disappointed bc the food was absolutely delicious and very filling. They have huge portions. The employees are very warm and welcoming. The beef patty is so affordable and served piping hot. We loved the curry goat and the coco bread was very soft and fluffy like a pillowy pleasant texture.
For $50 we were super stuffed with plenty to take home. Also my first time trying ackee which is their national flower/fruit and dish with saltfish (cod) and I would definitely eat it again. A positive experience having Jamaican cuisine. If you like trying new foods and have been curious about Jamaican food then this spot will surely leave you with a positive experience.
I highly recommend Caribbean Hotpot Grill to all locals and visitors.
PS. They have amazing classic songs playing most of which you’ll be able to sing to from the 80s and 90s era!

First time eating here and it was amazing! Me and my bestfriend ordered quite a bit to get a taste of it and nothing disappointed. We couldn’t even wait to go home we dug right in. The curry chicken was so tender and flavorful it was honestly our favorite. The plantain and cabbage that came with every plate was delicious. The jerk chicken was perfect the tang the spice and everything nice came along beautifully. The beef patty and coco bread was absolutely tasteful it was the first thing gone! I’ve had some bad ox tails but these were so soft, smothered in sauce and just delicious. Will be back for more and could not recommend enough! Service is okay but the food is worth it.

My husband and I drove 3 hours to have lunch to this restaurant. The cashier is very friendly and the food is very good. My husband always tells me that the drive is long but give us time to get away from small town

The food has an excellent taste, and I usually drive about 45 minutes to get to the place. My problem sometimes is the portion size. This last time, I purchased 2 large jerk chicken plates, 4 patties, and the chicken roti. The food tasted awesome. The jerk chicken plates however, were full of backs and not very meaty, which was disappointing.
I will go back because I love the food, I just wish that the portions were always the same… they’re not.

I really want to give more stars, but unfortunately I’d be lying. I feel like I wasted a lot of money at this restaurant today. I’ve never in my life had cabbage with so much scotch bonnet pepper in it and definitely never had a roti swimming in so much scotch bonnet that I couldn’t eat it. My nose was literally running so much that all I could do was eat the roti skin. I’m not quite sure who’s in the kitchen, but someone definitely slipped on this one.

This restaurant on FM 1960 Houston is a hidden gem and is always busy with locals. The food tastes amazing and authentic with filling portions and a wide array of drinks. We ordered the curry goat with rice and peas, the goat roti and a side of jerk chicken. Will definitely be coming back

Can not say enough good things about this place ! Our first time here. Ambiance was amazing. Great music, super friendly staff! Get the rum punch ! I was pleasantly surprised by the spicy vinegar base of the escovich fish. Hubby got the goat curry and said it was amazing (I love goats so I didn’t try it). Jerk chicken, plantains, red beans and rice… not one thing could have been better !

This was my first time coming here. The food was so freaking good!! I ordered the two meat plate, I choose the oxtails and curry goat. Both meats were well cooked and flavorful. I loved the ripe plantains and cabbage! Can’t wait to go back and try other menu items.
