I occasionally use the Buona app to order carryout for lunch from the Itasca Buona Beef location, and I am consistently impressed. My orders are ready on time, and the food is excellent.
The fries are a standout—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and absolutely addictive when paired with their rich, creamy cheese sauce (aka liquid gold). A must-try combo!
I also appreciate their plant-based option: the Vegan Italian BeefLESS sandwich. Made with seitan, it offers a surprisingly satisfying texture and flavor that’s perfect for those avoiding red meat for dietary or religious reasons. You can even customize it with several cheese options, including vegan cheese, which is a thoughtful touch.
My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the packaging. The cheese topping—an extra $1 charge—often sticks to the sandwich wrapper, and the wrapper tends to fall apart if you try to scrape it off or don’t transfer your sandwich to a plate right away. It’s a small but frustrating detail, especially when paying extra for the cheese.
Still, I wholeheartedly recommend the Itasca Buona Beef location, whether you’re a meat lover or a vegetarian. Great food, quick service, and solid options for everyone.

Hugeeeee!!!!! Shout out to the night team that worked tonight Friday 1/2/26 the whole team all so sweet and super amazing. I got the wrong sandwich, but my guy at the drive thru went above and beyond. The gentleman who assisted me in the lobby was also great. I ran in again to double thank everyone just overall great team and I love how the customer service is super on point. Great overall customer service; I’m big on that, super.

Open seating. Clean restaurant. Many menus. Helpful staff. Pleasant service. Friendly atmosphere. I walked in and ordered in about 5 mins. The server was helpful and patient.
We ordered a baptized Beef & sausage sandwich with onion rings and fries. Everything was ready within mins. They brought our order to our table and checked on us regularly. I also had an Arnold palmer which hit the spot. Everything was delicious.

When you walk in, there are two options to order – the kiosk or a real person. Unfortunately the person who was taking orders couldn’t really suggest anything as she said she hadn’t tried anything. This location is walking distance to a hotel so I don’t understand why the employees don’t know what things taste like. It would be helpful for our of town guests to have suggestions since there are ALOT of options to choose from.
The place itself was very clean and ample amount of space in the dining room. They come around to pick up your table when you leave.
We ordered a Italian been sandwich, dipped, with hot giardiniera on the side (it comes with just the beef and bread), kids cheese pizza (does not come with any sides) and a Buffalo Ranch Chicken Salad with a drink. The total was $32.37.
Everyone liked their food. The salad was well dressed and the bread that came with it was very good. The cheese pizza was a little greasy but it is pizza. The Italian beef sandwich was great. Next time I will get it baptized. I can see why people can think it didn’t have juice… It gets absorbed by the bread. The bread was very good.
Overall l, it was a great experience.

Absolutely the best Italian beef! The service was good and the food was outstanding! You order at the counter and then they bring the food out to you. We had Italian beef sandwiches with mozzarella, cheese fries, supremo pizza, and brownies. The food is made fresh to order and is outstanding! The Italian beef spice blend is tasty! The buns were so good too! The fries are crisp and cooked perfectly. The brownies are pre-packaged- Ghiradelli brownies and are huge, moist, and delicious! We enjoyed every bite! Yum!

I stopped in quick, trying to use an online coupon code from a text message. They tried to run it through at the register but said it had to be an online order. So they helped me right there during the lunch rush place the order on my app and get me my discount! And my order was ready very fast and it was delicious!

Love Buona! The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Food is always good and they have some of the best dishes like their minestrone, rigatoni with meatballs. Don’t miss the milkshakes too. Yum.
