Something sketchy is going on here. They always have you pull up to the curb to wait in your drive through order, even when ive ordered only $5 of food and there is nobody else in line (I get it for huge orders when other cars are waiting, but that’s not what is going on here), and I never get a receipt.
Additionally, my food is wrong about half the time, it takes several minutes for an employee to acknowledge you at the register (if they ever do), somethimes they just look at you and grunt, as opposed to using their words, and they get really confused every time I order a “bacon cheeseburger”, and I have to explain that it is, indeed, on their menu and everything!
Love Burger King, really wish this one was better.

Visit was 11:20pm on 7/23/25, we waited at the speaker for like 3-5 minutes after they said “thank you for choosing Burger King I’ll be right with you”. After they came back from attending that ONE car they had at the window. They finally came to take our order at the speaker. We said we had 2 coupons we wanted to use. The girl said “Ok” then the guy cut her off saying “YOU CAN ONLY USE ONE” then we proceeded to say “We said they are paper ones” then he proceeded to say “YOU DIDNT HEAR WHAT I SAID” already frustrated we proceeded to make our order with our coupon we had. Then he said it didn’t go through. So then he adjusted it to what the coupon consisted of. Then asked for more. Then we went to the window. Was greeted by the girl with the guy next to her, not even ready with the total or nothing. Didn’t even have the 4 drinks ready at all. We payed and waited for up to 5 min at the window. Horrible experience with the guy. The girl was good but could’ve not worn the headphones. Makes her seem so rude with not giving us the undivided attention. We took the food back to our hotel and it was super cold. Very messy and tasted horrible. We didn’t eat not even two bites. We felt so disgusted by what was given to us and the service. We didn’t bother to go back because of how rude they were. Do better at this BK location. I never have a problem with Burger King locations. Until I went to this location.

A very underwhelming experience, to say the least.
The service was slow and disinterested. Not hostile, definitely not friendly, just distant and cold. No smiles. No greetings.
The food was undercooked. My mother said her croissant sandwich was cold and the cheese was not melted. Worse still, the coffee was only lukewarm.
In fairness, the shop was clean and the restrooms were, too, which is a plus and is not always a given in a fast food establishment. The drive-thru seemed to be handling customers pretty quickly, as well.
Pro Tip
In general, I like BK. But this was a disappointment. There are other branches, not so far away (like 56th and Emerson, for instance). You might be wise to try another location.

Originally came through the drive-thru. The person on the headset was rude and rushing me to place my order. I came inside the same person took my order once again rushed me we asked if he was a manager he said he’s (the store manager). my sandwich was cold i ask for one to be to be remade and the other warmed up in the hopper. The sandwich maker warmed it up with a attitude and put it on the longest temperature.. with it being a ham and cheese you don’t warm it up on the same time as you would do a regular or double whopper.. couldn’t even enjoy my food bc my bread was gooey and had the wrap paper stuck to it.. training is needed and attitudes have to be fixed.. within the last 2 years this store has went through 4-5 general managers and each gm is worse than the last. Prefer washington st location over Shadeland any day.

Stoped this morning at the drive up placed a order for a jr whopper fries a frozen coke and 2 apple pies. Went to the window paid was handed the frozen coke and told to pull up. After 15 minutes they came out and handed me the food. I live 3 minutes away and by the time I got home the burger and fries was cold and there was only 1 pie. The pie was mine and the rest belonged to someone else, so I ended up with nothing to eat. They did not give me a receipt I tried calling the store and no answer. I work in the food industry and this is not acceptable at all.

Typical burger king. I’ve had mixed experiences I’ve been there a few times and sometimes it was really fast others it took a while. Food was always what I would expect from BK and they always had my order correct. Not the friendliest of staff.

I placed my order online because of the promotion where you get a free Whopper if you enter a contest and create your own whopper.
The online ordering is very easy and your order is placed in priority and placed on the counter.
They got my order perfect. In fact by far it is the best Whopper I’ve had in awhile. Wish my baby baby was here.

I’ve always enjoyed Burger King, and the food at this location was good as always. However, my recent drive-thru experience was disappointing. The employee taking orders seemed noticeably rude. I understand that working in a fast-paced environment like that can be exhausting, and accidents happen, but what followed felt unprofessional.
When I handed over my card, the worker dropped it — which I understand could have been an accident — but it landed in a puddle on a rainy day. What bothered me wasn’t the drop itself, but the lack of any apology or acknowledgment. Instead, the window was closed immediately, and another employee eventually came to hand me my food.
The food was solid, but the customer service in this instance definitely fell short. I hope the staff receives the support and training they need to improve future interactions.

The food here at 21st and shadeland at burger king is absolutely terrible microwave burgers and soggy chicken fries. Dirty tables inside the restaurant, every single one of them. And management didn’t care. Said he would get somebody on it, but we’re outside looking and no one’s on it. They got dirty tables all of them are dirty. ! My advice do not eat at this burger king very nasty dirty.

Ordered two 12 piece chicken fries. Got home and they both only had 9 fries and they were old. I’m assuming they were too lazy to make more so they shorted me. Tried to call the store. No answer! Didn’t give me a receipt either. The lady at the window was rude and acted like she hated her job!
