great food! My favourite would be the prawn and scallops to start with. Grilled fish was lack of flavour. Pork belly was a little too rich. But the duck breast was great! Burnt cheesecake is a wow. My hubby loved the dark chocolate moose.

From the moment you enter the gate you know it’s going to be a good experience.
You enter the huge doors and are greeted by a friendly smile and huge vaulted ceilings with beautiful big timber beams!
We were looked after by Brent and what a great experience he made it!
He had great knowledge of the dishes and his recommendations were on point!
The atmosphere was perfect, intimate and set the tone for a great evening.
One of the best dinners I’ve had in the Hunter Valley in a while.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

We came here for lunch. As we were running a little late, I called to let them know, and they were so nice about it.
When we arrived, the heavy oak doors were closed. But when we got out of the car, one of them was already open. This attention to detail was impressive.
The food was beautiful and exceeded all of our expectations. Every single dish was flavourful, and I dare say the culinary experience here has put some of the chef hatted restaurants I’ve tried to shame.
We are 100% coming back.

As you enter the restaurant, the friendly staff know how to make you feel special. Service is excellent and attentive. They serve a 3-course menu for dinner. Food is of very high quality. My favourite is their tiramisu which is somehow deconstructed with the espresso and liqueur mix separated from the biscuits and mascarpone. We are seated at the main hall with high ceiling. It gives you a Tudor period feel. As we went at night there was not much of the outside could be seen; else it would have been even more spectacular. The manager even gave us a mini tour of one of the guest rooms; which was even more amazing.

What a hidden gem we discovered by chance googling best restaurants for the Hunter Valley. The reviews were really good and our experience lived up to the rave reviews. What a beautiful building and restaurant as I felt I was back in Europe, coupled with excellent food and fabulous service by Brent and the chef/s. We ended up being the only couple in the whole restaurant last night and we still received the same amazing service and invited to stay as long as we’d like to enjoy the evening. Brent took the time to chat and ask for feedback on the food quality and our wines, and offered to take us on a tour of the building as we were so in awe of it. The menu was so good it was difficult to choose, our food was delicious and servings generous. I love how they try to source as much produce locally as they can and even grow things there on the property. I’m so glad we found this restaurant and will definitely return again! Brent is such a lovely and professional young man and will go far with his personal approach and excellent service. A fabulous evening!!!

First dinner for 2025 , and boy did this restaurant set a high standard! Food was delicious, presentation impeccable, staff were super accommodating and attentive. A must try if you are in the hunter valley.
