My family is from Council Bluffs, IA every time we come to Missouri we can’t leave without going to Waffle House. We have come across a few that are pretty run down and some that have really bad service. But this Waffle House was pretty nice they had a Halloween display that my daughter enjoyed looking at while we waited for a table. My only complaint was we had to wait for like 15 minutes for them to clean off a dirty table when they aren’t even that busy. But the food is delicious and service is great other than that.

Waffle House used to be quick, efficient and delicious. Almost a small town diner atmosphere with a friendly waitress. Today wasn’t really any of those. The staff was slow, leaving many tables/counter seats uncleared so there was a pretty long line of people waiting to sit. Heaven forbid you try to sit at a table while you wait for it to be cleared off. The staff slowly lumbered around with no sense of urgency and were constantly arguing with each other, right in front of customers, about who is and isn’t washing dishes causing more work for certain employees.
The drinks were brought out pretty promptly, I will give them that. However, the water, and Coke to an extent had a very strong taste of chlorine. Maybe from the ice maker and that’s why you could taste it in the Coke? Either way, it was disgusting.
When the food was brought out you can see the bacon on one plate was hanging over the edge and actually sat on the table when the plate was put down. Gross.
My waffle and hash browns were cooked fantastically. Very delicious. My table mate had hash browns that were cooked significantly less than mine, they were pretty squishy, not super appetizing.
Come for the food (mostly), not for the service. I love Waffle House but this was a pretty disappointing visit.

The waitress was friendly and attentive. Service was fast and the food was good. What impressed us the most was the cleanliness of the restaurant. My husband worked as a service technician for 35 years repairing restaurant equipment. He said this was the cleanest Waffle House he had ever been in. Our only complaint is that there was cold air blowing on us as we were eating, making our food cold. (It was cold outside.)

This Waffle House was just like a Waffle House. Anyone who’s been to a Waffle House knows you go not because the exceptional food (which is almost universlly decent. Not great, but fine for what it is.), but because of the consistency of the experience. Our server was patient and polite while we took our time to decide what to order, the food was fine, and the atmosphere was on par with other Waffle Houses. Waffle House is an oasis for when you want to spend time with someone away from home or a hotel room, but everything else is closed… and for that, it did just fine. If you don’t mind greasy spoon breakfast food and are looking for a bite when everything else is closed, the Waffle is worth consideration.

The food was not waffle house worthy. We have always wanted to go to one as its not a west coast thing and the first time will be our last time attending one. The waffles were thin and soggy. Hashbrowns rock solid. And everything was cold. I had such high hopes and expectations and it sadly didn’t live up to its name and reputation. The service was good. We had a little old lady and she has been there for atleast 10 years. Such a sweetheart.

It’s Sunday. It’s busy. I understand I have to wait. But for several others to receive their food before me and I came in before them, is unacceptable. The servers are rude and obnoxiously loud for no good reason. My server took almost 10 minutes before she even greeted me. I recommend these employees receive some additional training. I’ll travel further to another Waffle House and take my chances there than to come back to this place.

Waffle House’s are all the same. The server was competent and friendly, the food was good – it counts as comfort food for me. The restaurant was clean and well-kept. I’ll stop here again when passing through.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The menu has been greatly reduced since covid, so a lot of my favorites are gone. This location is not allowing take out orders, but you can dine inside which was what we wanted, anyway. The food was good and it had a great waffle house ambience.
