First off the ladies that were working were truly welcoming. The pork chop was not crispy and just okay. The fried chicken was really good though. My husband said the mac and cheese tasted like boxed macaroni and not home made. The cheesecake was okay. I guess they’re known for the chicken because it was cooked and seasoned well. Their prices are super affordable.

Looking on the outside you wouldn’t think this little place would be that yummy, but that is far from the truth. We ordered 2 plates, dessert and 2 1/2 gallons (lemonade and tea) for only $35. What a great price!! The quality is good and the quantity is plentiful.

BOY DO I LOVE ME some Maryland Fried Chicken!
As a child in the very early 70’s I remember Mom and Dad Taking me to a Maryland Fried Chicken. I loved at at 5 and I now love it at almost 60! At one time we had them around the South but now only a very few remain but this Myrtle Beach Location is fantastic and i’m so happy I can continue to get this wonderful food! The Chicken is Fantastic, the Pork Chop is Fantastic! The fries okra is Fantastic everything is so good and the wife and I try and drop in EVERY TIME we pass during the Lunch hour!
The staff are always so nice and helpful. You know its good as the locals love it!

First off the ladies taking orders are so sweet. The fried chicken is the bomb! Best fried chicken ANYWHERE. This is a locals favorite spot for fried chicken. You are not going here for any fanciness! You are going here for the chicken. I like to bring my chicken back home and heat it in the air fryer, out of this world tasty! I appreciate you Maryland Fried Chicken!

I gave it 4/5 stars because the chicken was that good. I also throughly enjoyed the corn fritters as well. I was not a fan of the Mac and cheese but the fries were pretty good. For the price it’s a steal and gives an old country vibe. Very quiet but clean and not busy when I went in. I would go again when I’m in town. They also have a Conway location that I hear is good as well!

The chicken was not that great. The mashed potatoes were bland they needed more flavor the gravy white gravy. No, thank you. It did not have any flavor to it. Whatsoever.

My wife and I finally got a chance to try them out and I was a little disappointed. My wife had the chicken and said it was good (I’d hope so if it’s in the name) and I had the gizzards. They were very chewy and rubbery and the sides were very bland with little taste. The fried okra was good and so was the popcorn shrimp. Might have to try the Conway location next time to see if it changes our minds. Middle of the mall experience at best for all the hype I’ve heard over the years. The staff was very friendly though.

Omg first time In South Carolina. After eating at an all you can eat seafood restaurant. That wasn’t worth 5 nickels. We said there is no way anyone can mess up chicken. So we decided to try Maryland Chicken. And to Our great surprise this place was Amazing. So tasty. So much we wanted it the next day. but they’re closed on Sundays. We will definitely get some on Monday and Tuesday before we head home to St. Louis !!!
