Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This location is so high volume for a small city. Literally about the same as Northwest highway dallas. Beside Love Field* I got to know the staff here also a bit. A number of great ppl just like Dallas.

Avoid at all cost. Go to the next available location you will be waiting 30-40 minutes even if it’s ordered 15 minutes ahead of time. Staff don’t know rather they are coming or going. The inside is not clean either if you’re planning to dine in.

There is only one Whataburger in Mexia Texas. The manager is phenomenal. Kenneth is very knowledgeable and eager to help. Unfortunately, there is a problem every single time I visit this restaurant. Mostly cold fries. I simply don’t understand how one of the most expensive fast food restaurants in town serves mediocre fare. It’s truly not worth what you pay for. I’ve used coupons to reduce the expense. I’ve redeemed points. I’ve called corporate to earn points for purchases when the app wouldn’t accept the coupons I received in the mail. Nothing. Ever. Works. These seemingly small issues keep me from frequenting this franchise more often than I do. Recently, the drive-thru line was long so I figured the food would be fresh and hot. So I ordered on the app for curbside delivery. And you guessed it…cold fries and a sloppy warm burger. (View photos). The burger ALONE cost me almost $10 because I redeemed points for the fries. Disappointed again.. in Whataburger’s defense, I went inside to replace the cold fries with hot ones and the young man was pleasant and eager to help. Very redeeming on their part. However, I shouldn’t have received cold fries to begin with. I shouldn’t have had to replace anything.
FYI-The call I placed to corporate three months ago? Still not returned and points issue never resolved. I guess I don’t matter.

Had the jalapeno cheese burger and it was delicious . Went with onion rings and was not disappointed. Food was hot and nothing was cold… except my drink I was impressed with the staff and how they all seemed to get along and helped each other.

I received very poor service yesterday. Asked multiple times about the status of my order in a 30 minute time-frame. Finally the last time I asked, at the 30 minute mark, they told me my food had been left out in the to-go spot for the last 20 minutes. This location wasn’t even busy. Very few people were inside. My order was very clearly dine-in and says so on the receipt. They had no issue bringing my husband’s order to the table but completely neglected to tell me my food was getting cold sitting in the to-go spot, despite asking about the status of my order several times and being told it wasn’t done. I do not get the Whataburger hype in Texas because their service just isn’t good!

LC Container went here here for breakfast and made a complex order to meet our diet. They got everything exactly right, three sausage breakfast on a Barns two with no bun, and one honey butter, chicken biscuit. They went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied. We always enjoy staffing here. I will be back.

Staff argued and cursed in the middle of my order and made me uncomfortable and did have what i ordered, My order was wrong and the fries were old and rubbery. EWWW!! When i tried to ask about it I was told ” YOU HAVE GOTTEN YOUR ORDER and shouted NEXT ORDER! ” Still a #1 Whataburger fan tho, the best fast food ever!

I ordered a bacon egg and cheese taquito. I got a taquito no bacon. I called and spoke with “the manager” Jody. Which I’m pretty sure was a fake name. She got rude with me on the phone saying I can come back and get my taquito made the right way, or I can “just write my review”. We stop at Whataburgers from Texas to North Carolina and I have never met a worse place! Total trash management and this is the 3rd time they have messed up my order. If you’re looking for classic Whataburger quality and service DO NOT STOP HERE. If I was whataburger, I would be looking into small town places like this because they give the franchise a bad name.
