I usually hate leaving negative reviews, but I hope this helps improve the experience for future customers.
I’ll start with the positives: the service was fast, the employees were friendly, and my latte was delicious—I really enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. I ordered a Mediterranean Skillet, and it did not taste fresh at all. It seemed reheated—and poorly. The potatoes were undercooked, and while I was eating, I found a piece of plastic string in my food. I informed the waitress, and she did replace the meal.
I then ordered the crab cake Benedict, but it also didn’t taste as good as expected.
The restaurant itself feels very old. The chairs are ripped, and there is no changing table. I had to change my baby on a couch in the lobby, which was uncomfortable and disappointing.
We paid $75 and left feeling very unsatisfied.

My 9yr old son and 11yr old daughter told me I have to rate this place 5 stars! I agree, so here we are. We were able to walk a short distance from our hotel, bring our dogs, sit on the shaded and cooled patio (overhead fans) and the food is the best we’ve had anywhere in weeks, all 4 of us! New favorite place they both proclaim! I got the wine based vodka Bloody Mary served with a lemon wedge and it has a nice, light flavor; the grilled cheese with grilled mushrooms and onions on sourdough with provolone and cheddar as we arrived close to closing and they were already out of fried green tomatoes. It’s amazing! I’m vegetarian and most places only offer a salad, grilled cheese, potato or side veggie or rice option. My son ordered the strawberry French toast, the cream cheese between layers is strawberry and he loves that! My daughter ordered the caramel, banana, brioche French toast and she is very pleased. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy with awesome sausage gravy on sage biscuits per the namesake, and served with two eggs,
sunny side up and a side of delicious potatoes. They have good, fresh-brewed sweet tea, which my husband, who is picky about his tea, really enjoyed! They all say we should come back often! My daughter wants to come here for her birthday soon!

Daddy and I love coming here for breakfast on the weekend whenever we get a chance! It’s so relaxing, the crew is all really nice (we love you, Sheila!), and their meals are delightful! Plus, they have a good mix of drinks, as in… adult drinks… Daddy always gets a bloody mary, and I usually like to get get coffee, too, and a glass of water. You can dine outside or in; both are great! Be sure to park in the garage next door, NOT the parking lot just across the street. Apparently you can get towed over there…
P.S. You MUST have one of their biscuits while there – it is their namesake, after all…

Great service. Chill vibes. I got the shrimp n grits and my girl got the crab omelette. Great spot for a date as she raved about the environment and food. The half waffle for dessert was the icing on top (I mean literally get their homemade icing on top of the waffle it’s to die for).

Sage Biscuit is a gem in Bradenton.
Great vibe inside. Even better outside. It’s the kind of place you want to slow down and stay awhile.
I had the Sage Omelette—perfectly cooked, full of flavor. Paired it with an espresso drink that was spot on. Rich. Smooth. Done right.
And yes… the famous Sage Biscuit lives up to the hype. Fluffy, buttery, unforgettable.
Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. This place just gets it right.

Food is usually good. Ran out of what I wanted so I had to change my order. Notified us after 45 minutes of ordering. Ended up waiting 1 hr and 10 minutes. Try doing that with a 3 year old. But we were seated right away.
They need to improve service.

Overall the food was good. The service was fast and accurate and she seemed very genuine. Parking is a bit of an issue. You can park across the street in a city lot and pay a fee. Street parking is available as well as a parking garage. You may have to walk a little. The staff should be dressed more appropriate for a downtown setting. Several staff members looked like they rolled out of bed. The seating is very tight. If you need to use a bathroom it is in the lobby adjacent to the entrance of Sage, you will also need a four digit code to get into the restroom. I enjoyed a vegetable omelet with fruit and a side of sausage. The server kept my coffee and water full. The food came out quick and it was easy to pay when we were ready to leave. The patio was full of guests and the hosts did a good job greeting and seating us.

The biscuits are legit. Everything we ordered was very good. The jalapeño bacon was a bit spicier compared to other places I’ve had it, but very good. We sat outside in a nice covered outdoor area. Didn’t get to see inside at all.

Love to come here. I feel that the prices are fair, the food is great and the staff is friendly. I always get the build your own omelette and it is so STUFFED and delicious I will be back! This location is in downtown they also have one on Cortez. I parked in the parking garage next to the restaurant and showed them the receipt when leaving. It’s free. And always has parking.
