The Detroiter Bar has a really friendly, local vibe that makes you feel right at home. The bar food is surprisingly good—better than you’d expect—and everything is priced fairly. It’s a great spot to grab a bite and a drink without breaking the bank.

Ate here during the Grand Prix 2025. Tried a Vosa drink for the first time and the burger & fries were good. They had my order for the burger backwards. I wanted grilled onions and NO tomatoes. I got the opposite. Overall my server Allen and everything was good.

It’s definitely a place to visit before a game or event.
The bar has been around for a long, long time and definitely has a lot of character!
I recommend the burger and fries. They were delicious!
The Detroiter is about a five minute walk to the Marriott and close to the baseball stadium.

Great environment for a game or if you’re a sports fan. Staff is usually pretty personable but can be very overwhelmed. Especially on a game day. It just seems it may be time for hiring. Maybe time to expand operations.
The burger was delicious. And the jalapeño poppers taste fresh. My advice would be hire some wait staff. At least part time for game days

The Detroiter is awesome. Phenomenal staff and fantastic food. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I’ve had the saganaki sausage, Greek grilled chicken salad, waffle fries, fish and chips, and of course their burger…I’d get each one again lol. Great place to watch a game with a pitcher of dirty blonde. My home away from home. Come on in, meet the staff, grab a drink and have a great time!

A fabulous dive bar (my favorite). They offer a nice menu and are known for the famous Detroiter Burger special. We had that and the Philly Sandwich. Both were great. They have a nice selection of draft beers and pour a strong drink. It’s a fun bar for watching a game.

Came here looking for good service after a game, we were met with a bartender/waitress who would’ve rather nobody else came in it seems. We never got a water refill offer, no check on if our food was okay (we watched it sit in the bar area for a few minutes before taking it upon ourselves to ask if we can grab our food) the bartender never seemed to care about all our empty dishes or cups. When we paid the tab the bartender couldn’t even walk over to the table to collect the cash that was left with the check but actually asked us if we could walk it over since apparently she couldn’t? From one server to another.. what is this service? Pay attention to all paying patrons and not just the guests at the bar. Definitely wouldn’t recommend coming unless you want to talk to the bartender and sit at the bar. If you’re coming and plan to sit at a table… maybe don’t. At least the food is okay? But don’t order anything with lettuce unless it comes in your burger, they were “out” but definitely can put it on their burgers!

Perfect way to have a quick snack before the concert. While eating you can watch the games being broad casted. The menu had some great selections of food items. Many alcoholic drinks options. Perfect place to enjoy an afternoon with friends while enjoying the Detroit city life.
