An interesting experience, good for a one-time visit.
Food: The appetizers were tasty, and the bao buns with meat were packed with flavor and quite spicy. The salmon roll was fresh and delicious. I also tried an interesting cocktail with a spicy-salty rim, definitely unique for me. The only thing – there wasn’t much to choose from when it came to desserts. I wish they had something local or just a bit more variety.
Service: Fast and friendly service. I liked that no one kept coming up to our table all the time, we could enjoy our conversation without interruptions.
Atmosphere: The place is already decorated for Halloween, and it actually fits the interior really well. The decorations look great and add to the vibe.

This place is a vibe. I recently went on a Saturday night with a friend. The sushi is bomb. I’ve never had sushi with bacon on it, but let me tell you bacon makes everything better. The service was amazing but be advised that this place does turn into a Club on the weekends. Nonetheless fun times we’re had. The food is reasonably priced, and the drinks are to die for definitely recommend this for a girls night out or date night with an up-tempo vibe.

The South Beach roll is a must!! Everything we ordered was amazing and Tannia, our server was the best. So full of energy and everything she suggested was just as delicious as she said it would be. If ever you’re in Charlotte you definitely need to pop in.

We had an amazing experience at Bocao Sushi! Tannia, our server, provided excellent service from start to finish. She went above and beyond to make sure all our requests were met and that we felt truly well taken care of. Her attention to detail and friendly attitude made the experience even more special.
On top of that, the environment is super cute with great music—definitely a vibe. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll absolutely be back!

Went here for a friend’s birthday after hearing so many wonderful reviews! The drinks I tried were not the best as they tasted very sweet and had an odd after taste. I ordered the beef bao buns which were good and had a nice spice to them. Nothing amazing but still good. If I am ever in the area I will come back and order different items and update my review!

This food at this spot was much better than I expected. The food was delicious – we ordered the shrimp fried rice with the egg on top and cheese empanadas. While it’s not fully ‘authentic’ to either cultures, they were still executed really well. The portion were perfect. I recommend asking for the hot chili sauce to give the cheese empanadas a nice kick (and use said chili sauce with the rice). I also had the passion fruit sangria which was nice and strong as well.
The only thumbs down I’d give to this place is for the service, while they were attentive, we felt they were pushing for us to eat quickly and leave. There were plenty of other tables around us that were empty, but for whatever reason, the servers would come back and rudely wipe the table down while I’m sitting there still nibbling at my food and sipping on my drink. I think we’d only been there for like an hour and a half which some of the time was initially spent ordering/waiting on stuff to arrive. Strange – but I’d go back just for the fried rice.
PS. If you haven’t been to this area before, be warned that parking is somewhat crazy – I believe the night we went, parallel spots close by were something like $41 and then the garages were $21. It could’ve been because there was a concert going on, but I’m not sure.

Such a cute spot! Went here before a concert at the Filmore and loved how close it was to walk to, as well as the fusion food! Thursdays are 1/2 price mojitos and apps, which we definitely enjoyed! Would recommend and would definitely go back.
