What an experience! This is a big upgrade if you went to their previous location! I ordered a seafood platter with a variety of delicious fried seafood (cod, lobster, shrimp), and my wife loved the turkey burger. There was live music the night we went and we enjoyed the beautiful views and gentle breeze from the water. Overall a fantastic experience!

Had two good Beer. First the seasonal Lil Norwich, a pumpkin Beer. It didnt taste pumpkin, but a Solid amber Beer, which i liked. They put something around the Beer (they ask you ) that taste a bit like an apple pie. 2nd was the Blush Beer ( Raspberry) not your typical smoothie/red Beer. It tasted the description, strong flavor . Had the burger, the bacon jam made the difference. Crunchy and a Little bit sweaty. Nice touch. Also had the short rib croquettes, which started our meal really well.

The new location of this brewery can’t be topped! They may be working through some growing pains, so I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but on both occasions that I’ve visited, the service has been spotty—incorrect orders, slow to greet and wait on customers—and the food hit-or-miss depending upon what you order. That being the case, however, their menu is slightly elevated for the area. I hope they work out the kinks and end up doing well.

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. These Guys Brewing has one of the best locations I’ve been to – it overlooks a river and provides nice views while you eat. The place is big with multiple seating options both inside and outside. It is also sectioned, so you can have some privacy or reserve a party.
This place is pretty expensive, but in return you get a high quality food. We ordered a stout soup and lobster roll, both of which were delicious. Their cocktails were decent as well. However, initially there was a problem with the service. The waitress came to our table once to give us water and we didn’t see her after that at all. It took them some time to change the waitress (and the service was good after that), but it also meant that we received our drinks only after 20+ minutes of waiting due to this hiccup.
The brewery had 11 beers on tap during my visit with an option of buying a beer flight of 4 to try more. For this review I tried all the beers they had. These were pretty much what I would expect from a brewpub (compared to a dedicated brewery) – not bad, not particularly good, just average. Out of the whole bunch I somewhat liked Thames River Red (Amber Ale) and Kaiser Willy (Imperial Stout), but in general the beers were not memorable.
This is an awesome place for a special occasion or a celebration. It is also good if you want to indulge yourself into a good quality food. For the craft beers, however, there are better spots.

We spent Xmas eve at Capt grants bnb and decided to grab some drinks and something to eat, I’m glad we did. Beer (zg 33 nice session IPA)was good food was good! Thank you Brooke… Merry Christmas

Drinks were great! Sat in the newly renovated outside area, and the table and seats are comfortable with a beautiful view.
Friend ordered fish and chips. Very delicious, cooked perfectly.
I ordered steak tips done well (I know, I know!), and they were red inside when they arrived. The waitress brought them back and when they returned it was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Green beans and mashed potatoes were very good. Been had a garlic flavor…I ate every one!

This brewery probably has the best views of any brewery I’ve been to. On a wharf overlooking the Thames River in Connecticut.
A bar with lots of seating and a nice selection of beers. I liked the Queen Bed the best.

Horrific bartenders. Came on Valentine’s Day with my spouse and we sat at the bar. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to even acknowledge our presence. They looked at us multiple times but proceeded to blatantly ignore us however they threw menus at us again without a welcome or hi. After 25 minutes we were approached by I think her name is Nicole with no hello, no welcome, no sorry for the delay..nothing. We ordered a beer and a terrible merry berry. We then waited another 15 minutes waiting for them to ask us what we wanted to eat. We ended up just asking for the check and left. Hands down the worst service I’ve ever endured. The other waiters in the restaurant seemed attentive and welcoming however the bartenders were awful. I wouldn’t blame it on the holiday because the bar area wasn’t exactly busy and the restaurant had many open tables. Would never recommend this place.
