We tried The Lighthouse for the first time tonight and was blown away by the service, and most of all the quality of food!
Oysters Rockefeller was the best we’ve had and oysters were huge and so fresh! They have them fresh on site and pick them right in front of you! Fajitas were excellent as was the shrimp – prices are in line and probably the best food we’ve had so far! The views of the sunset were spectacular! Definitely recommend the Lighthouse!

This is a delightful restaurant to experience the beautiful sunset by the water and receive excellent hospitality from Fernando, Raul and Juan.
We had the fresh caught Red Snapper. It was the catch of the day! Delicious!

The food was good but the staff were very pushy. Worst of all, when the check came the server automatically added a 20% tip for himself on the credit card machine without asking. When called on it, he insisted that was the total, even though the bill clearly showed a separate total and that amount being the 20% tip option for “exceptional” service, which we did not receive. He would not change it and we finally gave up because it wasn’t worth our time trying to deal with it. Would not return here again due to these dishonest practices.

I normally don’t write reviews and especially not negative ones. I am a veteran in the service industry so i have a lot of patience and grace when i go to restaurants. Our family left our hotel room at 5:45 and got a table at 6pm. I understand that we had a large group (7), but taking 10 minutes to even greet our table then forgetting about us until we were an hour into our experience was NOT COOL. also we had like 3 different people try to take our orders so im positive something didn’t get rung in or the restaurant forgot about us. Our hostess was great and advocated for us after she noticed we did not have drinks at about 6:45pm. The drinks were incredibly watered down as I noticed they were made and just sat at the bar for around 25 minutes. the strawberry daiquiri was melted and undrinkable. several drinks were forgotten until we asked our server to get us the rest of the drinks (a sprite and a corona). Now this is where i am the most frustrated. There were several tables (3 i noticed and pointed out to the rest of my party) that arrived and received their drinks BEFORE we even received our waters (35 minutes after we sat down). They even received their food and checkout out before we received our food. Remember, we sat down at 6pm and we got our food at 7:15pm. We waited 45 minutes for drinks and over an hour for food. When we got our food…it was COLD!!! Not only that but half of it was wrong. I know how restaurants work and there is something obvious wrong with their business model. $300 USD down the drain with lukewarm food and okay service. Our server was nice enough to give us free chips and guacamole but we were so fed up that we just wanted our food. Our server was apologetic and i could tell genuinely felt bad, I think this is more a bad kitchen management than anything.This is the WORST experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I would recommend going LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE for a family night out. don’t waste your time or money!!!

My family and I had dinner here last night and the experience was really appalling. After being sat in our table, we had to wait at least 20 minutes to get noticed by someone. We ordered drinks and only half of them came 20 minutes later. We had to wait yet another 20 minutes for our margaritas to arrive, after reminding the staff several times. When the food arrived it was lukewarm at best. Average in taste and really late. The only thing that came quickly was the check, when they try to “suggest” a 30% default tip for excellent service, which I declined. Bottom line, please do not come to this place.

We had delicious shrimp meals for dinner. The shrimp pasta alfredo was the best I’ve had in a long time. My husband really liked his Jamaican shrimp (grilled shrimp wrapped in bacon), and the coconut shrimp was better than others in Cancun! Great meal for cheaper than other restaurants, and it’s on the water but more out of the way than other restaurants. Highly recommend and would go back!
