I’ve been to this Mo’ Bettahs location in Norman several times, and unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill. Today I ordered a two-plate meal with teriyaki steak for both sides ($19.54), and when I got home, the steak was almost completely raw, gummy, and full of fat. It was inedible — I could only eat a few small bites from the edges.
What’s worse is that this isn’t the first time this has happened. On previous visits, both the steak and even the chicken were undercooked. That’s not just disappointing for the price — it’s also a food safety concern.
It’s sad because this location used to serve excellent food, which makes me think the issue may be with staff training or lack of kitchen oversight. I really hope management steps in to correct this because Mo’ Bettahs can be great when done right, but lately, it hasn’t been.

This was my first time eating there. I had to wait, but that means it was fresh! And I’ve never eaten anywhere else that does chicken thighs, nor eaten anywhere that the shrimp was cooked to such perfection. So yummy and will definitely be coming back! Pics are of: Katsu chicken, pulehu chicken, brown rice, macaroni salad, and shrimp. Nothing was over or under seasoned.

Omg my sister and I got here as soon as they opened and everyone here was super nice. And the food was positively perfect and the flavors explode in your mouth like a delicious firecracker. And the smell is so enticing and welcoming and warm. Mmm.mmm!

If you are in Norman this place must be on your top food choices. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Our family of 5 was well fed and enjoyed the service and atmosphere along with a great meal that was well within our budget. Chris the manager went above and beyond to explain the food and make us feel welcomed as a customer. Do not sleep on this place– it is well worth a visit.

I had the mini with 2 choices of meat. The pulehu chicken and lalua pig were both SO good and being served on crunchy fresh cabbage was amazing!I also had white rice and the yeobo sauce. Great combination!! I’ll definitely be back.

We ordered 3 Ekolu plates with extra sides and cheesecake. Everything was really yummy! Especially the cheesecake. When we got home with our food we realized some had been forgotten but when I contacted them they were extremely quick to reimburse for the missing items. They were very busy when we arrived for pickup and we also had 2 separate large family sized orders so we understand how items were missed. The staff were all very nice and apologized profusely about our wait time upon pickup. Overall, this place is great and we will be eating there again in the future!

Workers did not care about customer service, was slow to checkout. Asked multiple times for the juice to be refilled before being told they were out (or just lazy to refill it?). Also out of pork. Wrung up for the wrong orders and overcharged us (which they did fix for us). One girl was chewing gum in the back which I’m sure is not sanitary for food service. Tables were a mess, trash was not taken out, and the restroom had not been cleaned for sometime. The food was absolutely delicious, but the price was not worth the service. I definitely recommend just doing drive thru.

Food excellent but little pricey. Not sure whether I thought was appropriate amount for price considering “fast food” vibe, not sit down meal but there were other options. I got the big meal that let you try a little of the pork, beef and chicken. Surprisingly, I loved the chicken; was impressed with the pork; and thought the beef was certainly worth honorable mention as very good but someone had to be last. I think it wasn’t best day for sides, so will have to rethink those. Rice was good and helped soak up yummy sauces– but other salad items needed something–just seemed to be a little chilled in comparison to the other big flavors. Will go again.
