Another must try in the area! My mom and I did a bit of coffee shop hopping and this was one of our stops! I love the cozy vibe inside with the wood burning fireplace and the comfy seating. Very homey and the chai latte was also very good. I got a yogurt bowl as well and when I say I could eat that everyday I mean it. They have a nice variety of options to add to their house made yogurt and all of the ingredients were super fresh and very plentiful with the portions. Will definitely return next time I’m in the area!

This place has a really nice ambiance and is a great spot for studying or taking pictures. However, it does get very busy and crowded. Unfortunately, the drinks my husband and I ordered were disappointing—I tried the frozen mochaccino and the pumpkin spice latte, and neither had much flavor. For the price, I expected better quality. There are definitely more affordable spots nearby where you can get tastier coffee.

One of the coziest and prettiest coffee places in the area!

The coffee here is so delicious, maybe even the best I’ve had in pgh! Didn’t even need creamer or sugar, the flavor was perfect. The pastries were also good, with the raspberry lime scone having a lovely flavor and perfect with the coffee.

Not just the food, but the vibe of this place is perfect! It’s cozy with a mix of couches and tables, perfect to study, chat, or read, plus their outside little patio has beautiful plants and is a great spot to enjoy your drink. Such a good spot to stop by!

Big Dog = awesome charming Cafe with absolutely well prepared artisanal coffees. What a cool local spot on Pittsburgh’s SouthSide that draws a local crowd and it seems like “everyone knows ur name”. We really enjoyed it first thing on a Saturday AM. Also, check out the outdoor patio for extra ZEN ☕️☕️

As a busy college student (and coffee enthusiast), I can confidently say that this is the best coffee shop that I’ve encountered in Pittsburgh, at least so far. I love the atmosphere of this place, the local art, plentiful seating, and cute little patio make for an enjoyable location to sit down and study for a few hours without fail. In addition to the wonderful ambiance, the coffee is TO DIE FOR. My first time visiting this place, I ordered a pour over, and it was simply the best single cup of coffee that I’ve ever had (and that’s saying something because I drink A LOT of coffee). I even went back to order a second one, trying a different kind of coffee, as they rotate which blends are available as well as offering a few different kinds. This experience alone tells me that the baristas are incredibly knowledgable and skilled at what they do, which is something you really don’t find every day, or that I’ve found at other coffee shops in this area. I can say the menu definitely has a good bit of variety, even for those who don’t enjoy coffee. The only downfall of this place in my opinion is that the parking can be a little difficult and is not free, but that’s pretty much standard for most places in Pittsburgh anyways. This place is definitely worth trying, you won’t regret it!

Cozy coffee experience. Plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy your hand-crafted beverage. There are pasties too!
It was so enjoyable, that I ended up sitting in here for an hour without realizing

Staying in the north side, I don’t make a lot of trips to the South side but it is worth making the trip for this Cafe alone. I went at around 4:00 p.m. on a weekday and it was fairly empty at that time of the hour as they close at 5:00. The space is huge with a large indoor section divided into three other sections as well as an outdoor section which is small but really pretty with plants and flowers. I had the cold brew which was just the right amount of strong and smooth at the same time. There was only one Barista working there when I went but he was extremely friendly and nice. The seating is very comfortable and there are a bunch of options ranging from really comfortable upholstered chairs to more traditional seating. The decor is very modern and there’s a bunch of large pieces of Art hung around on the walls. I will visit again.

There are plenty of great small coffee shops along Carson St., but this one easily stands out as the best! The staff is always friendly, including the owner, who’s there every single day. The food menu has a wide variety, and everything I’ve tried absolutely slaps. The coffee is always on point and gets my day off to the right start. My coworker and I come here daily now, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Such a cute cafe!! Love that there is outside seating. Went one early morning, and had a nice cappuccino and oatmeal combo. Their oatmeal bag is so neat and customizable. Lots of options and the pastries were also very good. The pb cookie was soft and had a nice nuttiness too it. The people working there are also very friendly and give you good recommendations. A nice play to study or just relax.
