Cute old fashioned drive-in! Eat in your car or at the tables right outside. Fast and friendly service. The food was very good! Solid burgers and fries, good chicken nuggets, and delicious malts! Our strawberry malt and chocolate malts were definitely the highlight. Reasonable prices and decent portions. Dog friendly – sat at the outdoor tables with our doggo and they offered to bring out a water dish. We also got a nice little pup cup for him. We had a great time! Would visit again whenever in the area.

Fun spot to take the family – their root beer is fresh brewed and is OUTSTANDING!! We had a burger, fries, and cheese curds. Cheese curds were terrific – fries were good – and the burger was ok 🙂 prices are very reasonable and the staff is extra friendly!

Very fun little drive-in restaurant in Winona. The food is just fine and reasonably priced – like a high end fast food spot. Where it shines is the service and atmosphere. Great spot if you want a burger and to sit outside on a nice day, and enjoy an excellent home-brewed root beer. Would recommend!

Old fashioned drive-in!! Great malts, Root Beer Floats!!, sweet potato fries and onion rings. Fish sandwich ok, but forgot lettuce and tomato. 1/2 lb burger very tasty, but forgot pickles. Pretty pricey! Charged us $44 for 2 meals!

Still can get root beer better than this. The drive inn concept is great too. Truly loved this place growing up and it hasn’t changed in 40 years. However, I don’t think that is a good thing. Staff consisted of 6 high schoolers. It is just fryer and grill food mostly. Which is most lower priced restaurants these days. But those other restaurants have better food. Plus there are no table to bus so how can the place feel so grungy? Looks like a fun summer job for the kids working there but might be my last time going.

The Root Beer is soo good! And the cheese curds and the food.
I love coming here every summer and get to be served while you are in your car, tray is on the window.
Extremely nice people. Plus you have the beautiful lake and trees right across the road

after a long day of hiking, i wanted to stuff my face with grease and cheese. i found both at this cute lil drive inn! i ordered the california burger with cheese, cheese fries, cheese curds, and a chocolate shake. i really did want some cheese!

i wanted to love the burger, but it did not taste seasoned or doused in butter. it felt like the sauce was supposed to provide the flavor, but i want my meats tasty. the cheese fries were crinkle fries smothered in cheese sauce exactly what i wanted! curds were fried to perfection, and the shake was de-lish.

It’s absolutely nothing fancy however…. It’s the best easy eating in Winona! There’s vegetarian/ vegan options which stunned me. Atmosphere 5 starts because of the beautiful day. If you want someone to come to your car and eat there too….. It’s perfect.

Honestly, I’d never come back here. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. My partner and I visited Winona a few weeks ago. It was our first time there, and we wanted a unique place to eat. Plus, have a special date night. Our server ignored us the entire time aside from taking our order. Yet, she helped everyone beside us. It was ridiculous. My partner and I couldn’t even eat together because he spent more than half the time running in the place, getting everything. I thought this was a drive-in? So much for a nice date night. It ended up being $90 without tip. The baskets and curds were mediocre at best and weren’t even a large amount. I’ve had baskets at drive-ins for $10, and they loaded it. I thought this place would be better, considering the reviews. I’d never go back. I don’t enjoy going out to eat, and the waitress never comes back.

Very overpriced for food that is sub-par at best. $5 for a large soda. $4.35 for a side of cole slaw. $7 for side of sweet potato fries (maybe 15 fries?). Frozen burger patties that taste just like that sounds. When I asked for the bill I was just told my total and expected to hand over money. “We don’t really do that here.” (Give customers a copy of their bill to look over.) I wanted to reslly like this place, but I won’t ever eat there again.
